Has the world change

Or is it still the same?

A man can kill

And still be the sweetest thing

"Good morning," Kara greeted him with a smile. It was a weekend and Chad was on her doorstep as requested.

"Good morning," he answered. He was wearing his shirt and slippers. They have a game set by his team mates when he was still playing during his collegiate years. They would be playing against some of the well known ballers during their time from other different universities.

She handed him a paperbag.

"What's this?"

"Just some snack," she said. She was also getting ready to leave for school. That day happened to be the graduation day of the fourth year students she is teaching so she wouldn't be able to watch his game. "I know you'll be hungry after the game and I can't promise you that I would be around after it."

"Dinner maybe?"

"I'll see but I can't promise yet," she told him.

"Let's go," he smiled and opened the car door for her. He sent her to school before heading to the game. It wasn't open to the public and most of the people who came to watch them are either family members, wives, children, and friends.

After three sets of games, they were finished. Chad's team won by ten points. He called Kara immediately when he went to the dug out but there was no answer. He decided to take a bath and when he was done, he saw Raffy and Cali waiting for Ethan.

"Uncle!" Cali greeted him happily.

Chad smiled and rumpled his hair. He seemed to have grown another inch or two.

"How are you kiddo?"

"I'm good," he answered. "Mom and Dad bought me a bicycle as a reward. Tatay's teaching me how to ride it."

"Really? You know how to ride it now?"

"Sort of," he answered. "We're buying the baby one too once she's big."

"Good. Teach her how to, okay?" he smiled and turned to Raffy. He placed his palm on her bulging tummy. "How's our kid?"

Raffy smiled at him. "The baby's fine. I just need to get some more food in. I'm eating less than expected. The two men at home are constantly feeding me after that."

"Good. When are we finding out the gender?"

"Soon. My OB said it's not visible at the baby's age yet."

"I hope it's a boy," Chad said.

"I want a girl," Cali interrupted.

"I want a healthy baby," Raffy stopped the two. "Cali, why don't you tell Uncle Chad how you did during the commencement party?"

"Yeah! I sang on our presentation!" he started narrating it to him. Just a few days ago, Cali's class ended with a recognition party and the parents were invited to watch their presentation. He played the role of a little prince and wore a costume like one. "And after the presentation, Sheena invited me and Mommy to have dinner with them."

"Oh... Who's Sheena?"

"She's my crush," he admitted.

Chad laughed heartily. "You're really your Dad's son. Not mine."

Raffy laughed with his comment. "Really now, shouldn't I be bothered that my husband is friends with you?"

"My soul is clean," he raised both his hands up.
