Chapter 2: STUCK WITH THE GANGSTER WANNA BE

It's our second day here at DA. 7:30 palang nasa school na kami. Since napa-aga kami, we decided na tumambay muna sa may Student's Lounge.

We saw Ken enter kaya naman tinawag ko siya.

"Ken over here!" Sigaw ko.

Napalakas yata sigaw ko kasi napatingin yung ibang students sa akin.

"Wait. She's that bitch who called Joao stupid right?" Sabi ng isang girl

"Oh yeah that's her! Like duh? Who is she to call Joao stupid? She's not even pretty. She looks like a trash! Eww!" Sabi nung kasama niya.

Pinikit ko yung mata ko para mag-pigil ng inis. I wasn't informed that this school was also a school for mean people! They liked bullying and saying mean lethal words' their game. Whatever. Freaks.

Lumapit naman si Ken sa amin tapos umupo sa tabi ni Sarah.

"Buti nalang nandito kayo. It was good to have company sometimes."

"Ken, no offense ha. Pero napansin ko kasi bakit parang lagi ka mag isa. Like, wala ka bang friends dito? Or classmates ganon?" Sabi ni sarah

Tinignan naman siya ni Ken tapos inayos yung glasses niya bago sumagot. "Hmm. To be honest? Ayaw ko kasi sa mga girls dito. Masyado silang plastik. They only care about their freakin' popularity and money. Paramihan ng likes and followers. Pabonggahan ng bahay, condo, bags, jewelries and parties! Parties everywhere! Idagdag mo pa na president ako ng student council. So siguro ayaw nila ako kaibiganin because they're thinking that they can't break rules around me. Oh, well. It's fine with me. Ayaw ko din sa kanila" Sabi ni ken.

President pala siya ng student council! Kaya pala may authoritative and smart aura siya.

"I see." Sabi naman si Sarah habang nagpipigil ng hikab. Nakatakip ng kamay niya yung bibig niya. Ano ba yan! Pati tuloy ako nahikab! Nakakahawa talaga ang paghikab.

"I'm sleepy. May café ba dito?" Sarah asked.

"May Costa Coffee sa tabi ng concert hall. I want coffee too. Tara!" Sabi ni Ken tapos tumayo na siya. Sumunod naman kami ni Sarah.

So we ordered our coffee and nag chikahan muna. Only daughter pala si Ken. Kamaganak niya si Lauren Manio, yung sikat na international theatre actress.

The bell finally rang so we went to our classes.

Theatre acting ang first subject namin for today. I saw Joao as I enter our room. Nakita niya akong pumasok. Nagsmile siya. Not a friendly smile. Evil smile. Tss dumb@ss.

Hindi ko siya pinansin. Umupo na ako sa pwesto namin ni Sarah.

"Joao's giving you a death glare" bulong sakin ni Sarah.

"Tss. I don't care. If I know it was just an empty threat."

Napatingin ako ulit kay Joao. Hindi na siya nakatingin sa akin. Kausap niya sila Tristan and Ford. Yung ibang girls naka'tingin lang sakanila. There's this girl who's literally drooling while watching them. Eww.

Dumating na yung prof namin and started discussing about theatre. Forty-five minutes had passed and most of the class had already lost interest.

"Okay class. I wanted to know your strengths. So I'm giving you an oral assignment.." Yung ibang students parang biglang nagising nung maka-rinig ng oral assignment. "You will be paired and will deliver some lines from Romeo and Juliet. Since we have 15girls and 15boys in this class then we're even and we don't have any problems with pairings. But to be fair, the boys will come here in front. Bunutan nalang tayo ng partners. You will present this on friday." Sabi ng prof namin. While the class murmured with excitement.
