It was in the 1950s, Gertrude Goat and Harry Horse were crossing a bridge that was spanning a brook there in time immemorial, well before the Beatles' first LP.
Gertrude looked down into the water. The sunlight reflected on the water, making strange patterns that hypnotized her. An image of four young men came into her mind. They were playing and singing wonderful music to a crowd of people. The people rejoiced, still wary of some future crafty move. They had previously been in a vision where they had been at a Rolling Stones concert, but Mick Jagger had decided to tell everyone about his recent day of doing laundry, instead of singing.
The Beatles were actually singing and playing, so it seemed like the vision they were in would be lots better. They still were wary after each song, when Paul McCartney spoke into the mic. And sure enough, Paul announced that Gertrude Goat was about to come out of her vision, and they'd all be disappearing.
Gertrude was startled by the sound of Harry Horse yelling at her to get off the bridge, because a herd of cattle was about to cross it from the other side.
