Chapter 4

I could not breathe. I had to get out!

I ran out of the hall and in to a garden. I took huge gulps of air when I stopped. Once I had my breathing under control I looked around and saw the most beautiful garden I have ever seen. Flowers from both worlds were all around me and the beautiful fountain was the icing on the cake. I was so engrossed with the scenery I did not notice a man standing at the fountain.

I jumped back from fright when I finally noticed him. I couldn't see his face clearly as he was facing away from the light, allowing it to shine in my face and blinding me. The light eliminated his silhouette which was more than impressive. I he had one of his hands in his trousers pocket while he was clearly studying me.

I was trying to duck away from the light to get a better look of him but it did not work. He gave of an aura of dominance which made me want to walk the other way but my curiosity got the better of me. "Hello?" I was met with silence.

After what felt like an eternity he walked towards me and gave me his arm. I looked at his arm and then back up at him confused. "We should get back inside." His voice was deep and rough, my knees wanted to give in. I have heard some gorgeous voices before but nothing close to his. Usually I have better control over things like this but I blame it on the lack of social interaction.

I slipped my hand in the crook of his arm and we walked back in. The room became so quite you could hear a pin drop. I tried to let go of his arm. When that didn't work I tried hiding behind him but he wasn't having any of it. I looked up at him and I suddenly just got over my last crush and formed a new one.

Olive green eyes greeted me. Completed with black hair and neatly trimmed stubble on his face. His jaw was the classic handsome look and just looking at his face made me think of his body. I mean if he's face looked like that you could just imagine what was underneath.

I looked down on the ground blushing. He started walking and I followed as I could not let go. We got to the table that was in front of the room.

He showed me to a chair and like a gentlemen he pulled out my chair and I sat down. I took a peak of who I was sitting next to me and found Sasha was sitting there with a beaming smile. Red was talking with the man that brought me back in.

I took a moment to study my surroundings and realize the table I was at was for the important people. Why am I sitting at this table? Why are Sasha and Red at this table? With that thought my head swung to face Sasha again.

Seeing as I did not like pack wolf's Sasha and Red never told me their ranks. I did not even know who the mysterious man was.

"What is going on?" I was beyond confused. She directed her gaze elsewhere and sipping her wine. "What do you mean?"

"Really? You are going with that again. Why are you sitting here? Who is that man? Who..... Who are you?" I was freaking out.

She suddenly turned around, looking serious. "Okay look. I am sitting here because Red is the Worrier King and I am his mate. As for that man." She pointed to the mystery man. "He is Alpha King Tyler. He is Reds brother. Basically we are royals and you happen to be friends with one too."

She suddenly went back to her care free self and continued as if nothing has happened. Typical Sasha. I paled slightly at the new information. I was friends with the most respectable family in the world! I heard of the alpha king and his family. Out of all the people in the world I feared him the most. But he didn't seem repelled by me. "Okay. But that still doesn't explain why I am here other than that I am your friend."

"Well unless you want to be thrown to the wolves. This was the perfect place for you to sit and there is also the thing you're not ready to hear." She had a point I was safest with her. She would give anyone a piece her mind that tried to hurt me. But it didn't stop me from creasing my brows.
