The security was tripled on the territory. It was so bad that sometimes they wouldn't let me near the castle seeing as I was not part of the pack. I then had to call or link Red to let me threw.
The Red Guard had even been sent to different post that wasn't their jobs. They were usually for problems that were related to the royal family. But there weren't enough men to cover the tripled security effort.
The experiments usually came at night so it was odd when they had attacked us in the day. I had tried to figure out why they did but came up empty. I just continued to seek them out at night and kill them before any of the guards could.
They wanted a few bodies to learn everything there is about them and that was not going to happen if I could prevent that. Tyler and Red would come storming into my house to yell at me to stop. Tyler even tried commanding me but he couldn't.
For some reason, his commands just rolled off my back. He didn't seem shocked at all. It just made him even angrier.
None of them would talk to me. They were all upset that I didn't tell them and the fact that I am not allowing them to get a few of the creatures. But that didn't stop me from trying to apologize to them every day.
I have momentarily given up on the boys and focused on Sasha. She couldn't be without me very long and I could tell she was about to give in. I had once again had to ask Red to tell the guards to let me pass. Even though he was mad at me he didn't deny me access to the castle.
I guess it was his way of making sure I was safe. They had temporarily moved into the castle to be closer to work and for safety. If they were going to stay at their place they would be easy pickings.
I walked through the ground floor of the castle trying to find Sasha and found her in the game room sitting in front of the TV. It was on but she wasn't watching anything. She was waiting for someone to play a game with her.
I went and sat next to her picking up the remote that was waiting on the floor. She glanced at me from the corner of her eye and started the game. We were playing some sort of opts game against each other.
"You cheated! Again!" I shouted when she killed me. "How do you even cheat in a game like this?" she laughed at me and started another round. "I don't cheat! You are just very bad at this game!" she was so lying.
"Then how come I win Red?" She killed me again before she could answer. "He let you win. I am honestly very surprised you suck at this. I mean you kick butt every night and you can't even injure me in the game!" I threw the control away from me.
"I am done! No more games." I grumbled. She just laughed at me and turned the TV off. It was quiet for a few awkward moments. "I am sorry."
"Are you going to tell me why you are doing this?" I shook my head no at her. "Well, you do always do things for a reason, unlike me. But it doesn't mean that it doesn't hurt."
"I know." She gave me a big smile and hugged me. "You are forgiven. Now I am super bored and would like to do something. Are you in?" I didn't care that we were going to get into trouble. If it made her happy at the moment I am up for anything.
"I couldn't make things any worse than they were with Tyler so what the heck." We had first raided Alex office for the keys and didn't bother covering our tracks. They would know we were there by smell alone so there was no point.
The bikes were mostly for security runs and quick transport when there wasn't any. We found the keys for the dirt bikes and went to the garage. We didn't want to be caught too early so we had pushed the bikes first till we could start them up without having anyone chase us down.
