"It looks like the barrier is fading. Let's move."
"Lead the way, Shiro."
Just then, a hushed voice spoke over the comm that Shiro had to strain to hear. "There's not a lot of time."
Shiro stopped short, his eyes widened. "Pidge?"
"What's going on?" Hunk asked Shiro.
"It's Pidge!"
"She's safe? Oh, thank god. What's going on? Everyone's okay, right?"
"I'm trying to figure that out now." His attention darted to Pidge's comm.
"Sorry for not answering you sooner, Shiro. We--"
"--That doesn't matter now. Why isn't there a lot of time?"
"Lance and Keith were captured. And Shiro, you won't believe this." Pidge's dialogue began to pick up speed. Shiro assumed that it was due to nerves. "They created another Keith."
"A what?" Shiro stiffened.
"They cloned him. They need Keith for something and I guess the clone wasn't working. They need the real thing."
"Slow down, Pidge. Do you know what they plan to do with him?"
"No."
"We're coming, just hold on."
"Hurry!"
Shiro lurched forward with Hunk following close behind. The force field glitched once, twice, then faded.
The moment they touched down, both Hunk and Shiro jumped from their seats to rush inside.
They payed no heed to the fact that they, who were commenting on the stupidity of leaving ones lion out in the open, did just that. They also ignored the fact that the doorway into the Galra ship remained unlocked and unguarded. For two intelligent individuals, their minds were elsewhere.
