The New Knightmare

Suzaku POV

Looking at the Knightmare frame known as Nightgale for some reason. Guess they went with a random name. It looks a lot like the Guren with the radiation wave arm on. Plus the energy wings made it go as fast as Lancelot and Guren.

"I do hope she knows the possibility of piloting this. It's one of a kind nothing like it." Rahshata said as she looked at Nightgale.

"Even so if she agrees to pilot or not is her choice. You can't control people like robots." Miss Cecile said as she looked at the computer. Just then Lloyd came back with a depressing look.

"Well, what did she?" Rahshata said as we looked at him.

"Well, she said she won't do it unless if it's was a last resort for battle. Meaning if we were low on pilots." He said.

"Zero maybe you can talk her into piloting the Nightgale. We need a pilot as soon as possible." Rahshata said as I nodded and left.

Your POV

'What on earth was he thinking? I am no longer a fighter I gave up that life for this. There's no way I would trade this for the front lines.' You sat in the room thinking about what Lloyd said.

"I'm not a pilot not anymore." You said out loud. Just as the door open and you saw Zero come in and lock the door.

"Finally I can remove the mask," Suzaku said as he scratched his head.

"Hard being Zero huh?"

"Nah you just get tired of hiding your face." He said as he place the mask on the desk.

"So want to talk about it." He said as he came towards you.

"No just taking in a lot of information. What about you? Do you have something on your mind?"

"Nah just want to spend some time with you." He sat beside you as you rest your head on his shoulder.

"Hey, Suzaku did you mean what you said that day when I left. That you would make me your wife or were you just jumping to that so I won't get another guy."

"No I meant it I want you as my wife and to start a family together. Right now we have to focus on this battle. I promise you that we'll get married as soon as possible." He said as he petted your hair.

Suzaku POV

"Alright, I guess I'll do it. I'll pilot that Knightmare frame that Lloyd wants me to do." (F/n) said as she looked at me.

"Are you sure the chances of getting killed are higher," I said as held her.

"If you mean what you say I want to help you this time. I don't want to wait on an empty promise like last time. So I'm coming with you if you like it or not." She said with determined eyes.

"Alright but I want you by my side at all times."

"Fine. So what does the Knightmare frame look like?" I got up and put on my mask.

"Why don't you come and find out." I extended my hand towards her. She grabbed it and smiled.

Todoh POV

We were at the landing platform and as expected from those two. They have created an amazing Knightmare.

"Amazing they named it Nightgale by the colors. That or they just put random names in a bucket and pulled out the first name." Nagisa said as we stood there. I notice Zero come in with that girl.

"Ah-ha change your mind about piloting the Nightgale?" Lloyd said as she nodded.

"Wonderful now do you have some knowledge of piloting?" Rahshata asked.

"Yeah, I have some when I was younger." She answered.

"Good, now go change into this and we'll start testing your skills with Nightgale. Don't worry we just want to get some data before doing the real fighting." Rahshata said as she handed a gray and (f/c) suit.

"What is this?"

"That will increase your chances of staying alive," Lloyd said.

"I guess they found a pilot for the Knightmare now. Yet I don't trust this girl at all who is she anyway?" Nagisa asked as a girl from the base came in.

"Hey, your name is Ayano right?"

"Yep, that's me and your Todoh and your Nagisa. It's a great honor to meet the two of you." She said as she bowed to us.

"Who's that girl over there?" Nagisa asked as Ayano looked.

"That's (F/n) (L/n) the doctor of this base. She's one of the few members here that have the skills to outsmart anyone."

"I see where's she from," I asked

"She said she's from Japan and use to work with Zero a long time ago."

"You said her last name is (L/n) and she's from Japan. Is she half Britannian?" She nodded to confirm my guess.

"I see thank you for answering our questions." We bowed to her and she bowed back and went to the other pilots.

"The flower planted fifteen years ago has already bloomed. Seem like yesterday I was teaching her about self-defense." I said out loud.

"Sir?"

"That girl is the daughter of my close friend. If anything were to happen to them I would take her in. But I let her go to a family that was close to her father. I thought it was a better choice for her to live among Britannian's. Guess she chose her fate long ago." I said as they came up to us.

"Todoh she is joining our unit since we once work together before," Zero said as she came to us and bowed.

"A pleasure to meet you both. I hope we work well together."

"I see you've grown up a lot your father and mother would be proud of you."

"Thank you, uncle."

"Uncle?!"

"Oh, I didn't mention this? We're related to each other because my mother is his younger sister." She said as we both looked away.

"Why didn't you tell us you had a niece. Better yet since when did you have a little sister?" Nagisa asked as she was shocked by the news.

"You never asked." We both said in sync.

"Well aside from the news let's see how good you are at piloting this Knightmare shall we," Zero said as she nodded and followed him to get ready.

"Well, I guess I should start talking about my family to huh Nagisa."

"Yeah, should I know about any other surprise family members."

"Not really."
