*Shawn's POV*

I watched Ruth as her head was peacefully rested on my chest. Her breath was slow and even, she was such a pleasant sleeper. I stroked her back, taking notice of every crevice between her spine and rib cage. I could feel her bones underneath layers of muscle. Not only was she emotionally strong, but physically too. I felt bad that she had to endure all the paparazzi today. I don't understand why they can't be more respectful of people's space and privacy. I'm only human, and so is Ruth. We can only take so much before it becomes too much. I just wish there were more people in this world that understood that. More people like Ruth. No guy will ever be good enough for her.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, we are beginning our descent, please buckle your seat belts and do not move about the cabin. Thank you, and we hope you enjoyed your flight."

I gently stroked Ruth's hair to wake her. "Ruth, wake up, we're landing soon."

"We're here already?" She asked.

"Yep, you slept the entire four hours of the flight."

"Wow, I got so much sleep last night, I don't know why I was so tired." She questioned.

"Haha, I don't know, I guess you've had a few emotionally exhausting days." I said.

"Haha, yeah, you're probably right."

When we were on the ground, we unbuckled, grabbed our things, and exited the plane. We picked our bags up at the baggage claim, and went outside to wait for our car to take us to the hotel. Little did Ruth know, a limo was coming to get us.

"So, do you play your show tomorrow?" Ruth asked.

"Yep, at the Staples Center."

"Am I gonna be able to see you perform?" She asked.

"Of course! You get the best seat in the house, right back stage!" I answered.

"Yay!" She exclaimed.

"Would you want to come on stage with me to sing again?" I asked.

"Yeah, sure!" She paused "But won't people be wondering why a random girl is on stage with you?"

"Yeah, they will. We can tell them why you're with me, if that's what you want." I said.

"I don't know Shawn, we've only been dating for like, three days, don't you think we should wait to tell people about us?" She said.

"Well, the paparazzi took pictures of us together, and we walked around two major airports acting like a couple, so I'm sure that people already know." I replied.

"Yeah, you've got a point there." She said.

A few moments later, our limo was pulling in to pick us up.

"Wait, you got a limo?!" Ruth gasped.

"Haha yep! Usually I just take a taxi, but I thought I'd get a limo for tonight, since you're here."

"You treat me too well."

"Cause I know I can treat youuu better, than he can!" I began to sing.

"And any girl like you deserves a, gentlemen!" Ruth sang back to me.

"Tell me why are we wastin' time on all your wasted cryin', when you should be with me instead!"

"Cause I know I can treat you better! Better than he can!" Ruth sang, doing the rif at the end.

"Damn, even when you don't try to sing well, you're still amazing!" I spoke, shocked.

"Haha, well I'm glad you think so!" She replied.
