*Shawn's POV*
"Look Shawn! I can see Justin Timberlake!" Ruth said, pointing out of our limo that was pulling up to the carpet. She was so excited, it was adorable.
I could here the roar of hundreds of people screaming and yelling my name as we stepped onto the carpet. The gems from Ruth's lavender-colored dress began to sparkle from the gleam of cameras flashing. Her skin glowed, and her hair shined from the reflection of the sunlight.
"You know, you look stunning tonight. Your hair looks beautiful against your dress." I said to Ruth, taking her by the hand.
"You look amazing as well." She said, smiling up at me.
We made our way to the backdrop to take pictures. Ruth was able to take photos with me since she was practically as famous as me now. Since Ruth made her first appearance onstage with me back in Chicago, my social media has been blowing up with comments about her. I'm happy that my fans are so supportive of us.
"Oh. My. God. Is that Ellie Goulding?" Ruth asked, pulling on my sleeve. I turned my head to follow her gaze.
"Yeah, I think that's her." I replied, seeing golden blonde hair over the sea of celebrities.
"Shawn, I literally love her so much. Before I became a fan of yours, she was my favorite artist." Ruth said, still gazing, longingly in the direction that Ellie was standing.
"Do you want to go talk to her?" I asked, seeing her eyes becoming moist with excitement.
"Are we allowed to do that?" She asked.
"Yeah, you're allowed to talk to anyone you want while you're on the carpet. Come on, let's go." Holding my hand out for her to take it.
We made our way over to Ellie, who turns out, was talking to Taylor Swift. I hadn't seen Taylor since I went on tour with her a few summers ago.
"Shawn!" Taylor shouted, as her long, navy blue dress came into view.
"Taylor! It's been so long!" I said, while giving her a squeeze. "This is my girlfriend, Ruth. I met her on tour almost two weeks ago now." I said, grinning down at Ruth.
"Hi Ruth, It's such a pleasure to meet you." She responded, shaking Ruth's hand with both of hers.
"Hi Taylor! I wasn't expecting to meet you tonight, but I'm so glad that I get to." Ruth said with that smile that she always had painted on her face.
"I think that Ruth would really like to meet your friend though." I said, nodding towards Ellie.
"Hi Ruth, I'm assuming you're a fan?" Ellie asked, looking directly at her.
"Yes! Hi! It's so nice to meet you!" I could see the moisture in Ruth's eyes fall down her cheeks. She was so happy that she was getting to meet her.
"So, I heard you've done a bit of touring with this one." Ellie said, glancing at me.
"Yes, oh my goodness it's been amazing, I love it so much." Ruth, trying to control her excitement.
"I saw a bit of a recording that someone had posted on twitter of you two singing together, you're wonderful. You have such a range. If I might say, you're voice reminds me a lot of my own."
"Thank you so much, you have no idea what that means to me."
"Of course, dear." Ellie beamed.
"Also, I just want you to know, that you're music got me through a really tough point in my life during high school, and I want to say thank you. I still listen to your music and I love it. It's genius." Ruth replied, placing both her hands over her heart.
