*Ruth's POV*

"Ruth dear, breakfast is ready." I heard a gentle voice say, as I felt a hand on my shoulder. My eyes fluttered open to see That it was Mrs. Mendes looking at me, hovered slightly over the bed.

"Oh, Good morning Mrs. Mendes." I said in reply.

"Good morning dear, glad you are awake, it's almost 9:45 A.M. I was getting worried that you and Shawn would never wake up!" She said jokingly.

"Haha, yeah we went to bed pretty late last night, or should I say pretty early this morning?"

"Haha, oh you kids and your late nights."

"Haha yeah, I'll get Shawn up." I said.

"Okay, he'll probably be happier that you are waking him up instead of me anyway." Mrs. Mendes laughed.

"Let's hope so!" I said as Mrs. Mendes walked out of the room.

"Hey, Shawn." I said, combing my fingers through his beautiful dark curls. His brown eyes slowly opened, and gazed at me.

"Good morning sleepy head." I said.

"Good morning pretty girl." His raspy voice replied.

"It's almost ten O'clock and your Mom has food ready."

"Oh good, I'm starving."

"Same." I said, smiling.

"Let's go." He said calmly, as he stood up.

I took his hand as we walked downstairs to the kitchen.

"Hope you like muffins, Ruth!" I heard Mrs. Mendes say.

"Haha, love them! I know Shawn wont have a problem with them either." I replied, smirking at Shawn.

"Haha! Well you sure know him pretty well!" Mrs. Mendes said.

"Haha, yeah I guess I knew that before I even met him... Wow that just sounded really creepy, so sorry." I said, feeling the nerves build up inside me.

"That's okay, no worries dear." She said.

Shawn and I sat down across from each other. Each of us grabbed a giant chocolate chip muffin, and ate as we talked about what we were going to do for the day.

"So, would you want to go ice skating today?" Shawn asked.

"Isn't it the middle of summer?" I questioned.

"Yeah, but there are indoor ice skating rinks" Shawn said.

"Oh yeah duh, totally! I love ice skating!"

"Haha! So I assume you've ice skated before?" Shawn asked.

"Haha, yes I have, it's fun! I know that you've had a lot of experience ice skating too."

"Haha, sometimes I wonder if I know as much about you as you do about me." He laughed.

"Haha well, as I've said before, I was, and always will be a dedicated fan to you." I said.

Shawn Leaned across the table to give me a kiss.

"You're adorable." Shawn said.

"And so are you." I said, staring into his deep brown eyes.
