Turns out Jumin and I were forced to attend a double date with Mr. Chairman and his soon to be. The twins are hanging with Seven, and the others. "I'm sorry that you're dragged into this." Jumin said as he held my hand to comfort me. "I'm not mad. He's my father in-law after all." I replied as a small smile eroded upon my lips.

Jumin and I grabbed two seats in front of a scarlet table. Jumin's father and a very beautiful woman sit across from us. "I thought you would drop the invitation, Jumin!" Mr. Han said through a chuckle. "Honestly, I wanted to." Jumin huffed. The woman's hazel eyes examined my appearance. "Your hair is so pretty. Who's your stylist?" She squealed. A nervous chuckle escaped my lips. "I do my own hair." I replied, forcing a realistic smile on my lips. 'She looks so familiar!' I said to myself.

There's only one person that matches her identity. "Y/N, are you alright? You seem to be in deep thought." Jumin asked, breaking my mind palace. "I'm fine." I replied as I turned my head towards the woman. "You look very familiar." I said. She giggled. "Men say I look familiar all the time! I guess I just have a celebrity appearance."

"I just realized, I haven't introduced myself. I'm Alexandra Holmes!" She squealed. My thoughts invaded my mind, but a word slipped out unexpected. "Mom?"I quickly covered my mouth as Alexandra let out a giggle. "Y/N, you look so embarrassed!" My face was glowing red. I was shocked and embarrassed. I wanted to cry.

"Is she really your mother?" Jumin whispered, so only I could hear. I nodded as a yes. "How are you and Nicholas?" My mother asked as she took a sip of the red liquid in her glass. "Father and I are doing well." I scoffed as I removed my hand from my lips. "I thought he would drop you like he did Vincent." She replied. I furrowed my eyebrows. I bit my lip to keep myself from lashing out.

My father, Nicholas Holmes, never abandoned Vincent, my elder brother. Vincent died trying to protect me from my mother's ex boyfriend. I was fourteen at the time. My mom cheated on my father with a man who tried to rape me. Vincent fought the man without knowing that then man was armed. The whole neighborhood arose from their slumber to the sound of a gunshot. Vincent Holmes, my older brother, was dead.

"My father had nothing to do with Vincent's death." I mumbled as I took a bite of the salad on my plate. Jumin could sense the heat radiating off my cheeks. He set his hand on my thigh. "Calm down. I can sense that you're upset." He whispered. I nodded and exhaled deeply. "Sorry to interrupt whatever just happened, but I would like to inform you two about Alexandra becoming my wife!" Chairman Han chirped.

I felt my heart sank. Marrying my mother would cause Jumin and I to become brother and sister-in law. Our children would become nephews and niece-in law. I opened my mouth to protest, but Jumin stated his opinion. "I politely disagree. Marrying Y/N's mother would cause our marriage to become incest." Alexandra rolled her eyes. "It's not a big deal. You two weren't siblings from birth." I let my statement slip out. "Don't marry her! She's the cause of my father's bankruptcy!" Alexandra protested. "Nicholas was just a fool. He didn't know how to handle money." I pressed my palm against my face and let out a long frustrated sigh.

Tears were breaking through. I wasn't crying a normal stream, I was crying a waterfall. All the past memories were barging through my head. I was too lost in thought to make a noise. My hand was pressed against my face with tears rushing in silence.
