Like his name suggests, he is lazy in all things he does. This extends from him just not caring. If he doesn't care enough about something, then he either doesn't do it or does it poorly. The only motivation that he has to do a job well is Wrath. He doesn't want to die and so forces himself to complete whatever she tells him.

Background:
Sloth was born as Rowan on a farm with 6 other siblings, a mother, and a father. He is the oldest of his siblings, but is the only one that didn't continue his higher education of learning. His parents owned a farm that was well known in the area at the time, being known as the Green Hills Farm.
Rowan was known to be lazy by his peers and family. He didn't have any friends either as that was also too much work for him. This caused him to repeat some grades in school as well as fail to do his chores on the farm.
His family were not happy with him, but his parents didn't want to make him homeless.
One day, he was assigned to fix a machine that needed repairs and he was the only one available to do so.
He failed to do the task and his parents learned the hard way. Both of his parents were using the machine when it malfunctioned and ended up killing the both of them.
The siblings took over the farm and kicked Rowan out.
Rowan was wondering aimlessly until he was found by an Echidna. He was scared of her, obviously, but the Echidna seemed to be thinking.
She gave Rowan a chance to make something of himself and join her and her gain. She said that he could their spy. He was unassuming enough.
Rowan agreed, fearing what she could do if he didn't and quickly became on of Wraths most loyal members.
