Persona 3: Maksuma Yamada

*Note: For anyone wondering about the changes if you have read about this character before, she was original supposed to be a persona 3 oc that got changed from being in her own original thing to being in Persona 5. I decided to go back to her roots and finally make her into what she was supposed to be. *

     Maksuma Yamada

Origin:

     Maksuma is most likely an Indian name, but I have no idea what it means. 

     Yamada means mountain rice paddy in Japanese.

Personality:

     Maksuma may seem cold or distant at a first glance, which usually makes her not approachable, however, once you get to know her, one will see her true colours as a carrying friend who likes to joke or spend time with them. However, she always carries a quiet voice and never seems to raise her voice. Not even once.

     She wears the basic school uniform for females with the only thing is that she wears black leggings.

Biography: 

     Maksuma was born in Tokyo, but moved to Iwatodai when she was 3 for her father's work. However, within that same year, her mother contracted an illness that ended up killing her a year later. It would be after this that Maksuma and her father drifted apart, with Maksuma rather staying out then stay at home. 

     In 1999, the first Dark Hour occurred where Maksuma was now 10. She had unfortunately  stayed out longer than she meant to and was heading home. Before she got home, the sky turned green, and the world seemed to change around her. Frightened, Maksuma ran all the way home where she found her front door open. She ran in only to find a coffin in her living room that faced on the ground. As soon as she got close the coffin however, the dark hour ceased to reveal that the individual was her father in a pool of his own blood. She ended up calling the cops where she was retrieved and was made to stay with a relative that was nearby. 

     The killer was never found.

     Afterwards, her life continued to be unstable in the sense that she would move housing locations after maybe a few years or maybe a few months due to unforeseen incidents with family members. 

     The last relative she stayed with enrolled her in Gekkoukan High School where she would stay at the dorms provided by the High School. It wasn't even a year until she was approached by Mitsuru into joining SEES. The two talked, with Maksuma getting information out of Mituru about what she knows. She accepted the invitation and came with Mitsuru one night on the town during the Dark Hour to train sort of speaking. This was when that her Persona, the Headless horseman would first manifest. She would stay with SEES for a short time, meeting Akihiko and eventually Yukari, but would leave halfway through the next year due to differences between her and Mitsuru as well as personal issues. 

     In her third year, she would meet the main character Makoto/Minato in which the two would talk on occasion. Maksuma caught on the fact he as well as a few others were recruited into SEES after some observations, so during one night, she followed them into Tartarus. She surprised Mitsuru sort of speaking and the two talked for a bit, Mitsuru reluctantly telling Maksuma what was going on. During which, the other would arrive back with Fuuka only for two massive shadows to come and attack. Maksuma would use Headless horseman to shield herself and the others as best as she could until the weakness if each were found. 

     After the battle, she was introduced by Mitsuru. They head back to the dorm where Mitsuru asked if she was coming back. Masuma replied not at the moment, and she then left.

     Maksuma wouldn't return to the team until after Shinji's death, where she finally realized that they needed her. While still a bit of friction, she has no trouble with getting used to the new team. Or the MC for that matter.
