Gage's P.O.V
Her smell was so enticing. She's all I kept thinking about. Her smooth dark brown skin made me wonder what it would be like if I tasted her.

When she told me her name it sounded so familiar, I just couldn't remember why.

Naomi Emerald. Naomi king. Luna Naomi.

Hm. I like the ring of Naomi King. I thought smiling.

I was seated in my hotel room watching a T.V show that I hadn't been really paying attention too.

I don't want to get attached but I have to see her again. I have to get to know her. When I saw her eyes I knew she had many secrets to share and many scars to cry about.

But could I trust her? I had to right? That's the point of a mate, to have someone to trust and love. I can't afford to be hurt again, I have a pack to run. I guess we'll have to see.

I got up, put on a jacket and left the hotel.

I was hoping to run into her again. I just wanted, no need to touch her to calm my nerves.

I walked down a couple of unfamiliar streets and ended up at a park. It was a full moon tonight and its silver light shined bright. I sat at the first bench I found and looked up at the starry night.

"What are you doing here?" A calming voice asked.

"I just needed to clear my head." I answered easily. "Care to join me?" I asked patting the seat next to me.

She stood still with her arms crossed just underneath her breast trying to keep herself warm. A minute passed until she finally decided to take a seat. Her teeth chattered as she stared up at the moon.

I shrugged off my jacket despite the cold nibbling my ears. I draped it over her shoulders.

"Thanks." She hummed. She sniffed and froze. "You're an Alpha."

"Yes, I am." I said raising my eyebrow. "You didn't notice that before?"

"I wasn't paying attention. Shit." She cursed.

"Usually people would be thrilled." I said.

She looked like she could throw up her dinner at any second.

"You alright?" I asked touching her shoulder.

"Fine." She said shrinking into my jacket.

We sat in a comfortable silence and stared up at the stars. After a couple of minutes, we were connected at the hip. Neither one of us moved so I could only assume she was fine with it. It was good enough for me, at least for now.

"Naomi! I have been looking everywhere for you." A voice I didn't recognize said interrupting the moment.

The woman behind the voice soon revealed herself and I was shocked to see that she had similar features to Naomi.

"Why? Shouldn't you be worrying about your mate? He seems to worry about you and how I affect your health. Maybe you should stay away from me. I mean it's for your own good." She said bitterly.

Naomi's look-alike glared at her with so much pain and anger in her eyes. She scoffed and shook her head. "I don't know what you've been through sis, because you never opened up to me. I have only ever worried about you. When you were younger I made your lunch when mom and dad weren't there. It was me who punched the shit out of the kid who picked on you. It was me who got in trouble all for YOU! When you came back you pushed away everyone who tried helping you." She sighed and continued "I came here to apologize on behalf of Ray, but you don't seem to care."
