"Hey! My name is Jackie. You're new around here aren't you?"

"Uh yea." I said scratching my head.

We were sitting at a park bench under a tree that had started to bloom light purple flowers.

I was walking until I came across the park. It was for the most part vacant but the beauty of it was what drew me to it.

The vibrant green grass thrived and the flower buds pushed through the dirt so they could be kissed by the sun. The leaves in the nearby trees waved hello to me as I breathed in the fresh air. The green fields looked so inviting. Maybe it was deja vu that drew me here but the some what quiet park gave me my own piece of mind.

Until Jackie here, came out of nowhere and introduced herself to me.

"So why is no one here?" I asked curiously. "I mean why is it so deserted."

"Someone very dear to the pack was kidnapped in this area." She said looking up at the sky. "But eventually the park was forgotten about. So naturally I come here to think, and low and behold I found you." She said smiling. "Whats your name by the way?"

"Naomi Emerald." I said giving her a small smile.

"Care to tell me anything else about you?" She asked looking at me sideways.

I gazed at her and noticed she was a pretty girl. She had straight sleek black hair with golden brown highlights. She had big grey doe eyes, and a splash of freckles on her toned olive skin. The combination of her eyes and the tone of her hair went well. She had a sweatshirt, jeans, and converse on.

I could already tell we were going to be friends.

"Nah. So what did you come here to think about?" I asked.

"Just had to clear my head. I'm 20 years old and still haven't found my mate. My mom reminds me about it everyday. I don't have any friends, not that that bothers me because everyone here are little bitches. No one deserves my friendship. Everyone is too far up their their own ass to realize there are other places than our own pack grounds." She ranted. She glanced back at my face and said, "You probably don't give two shits do you." She laughed.

"I don't, but your problems are relatable." I said looking at the dancing grass.

"What pack are you from?"

"Golden Heart."

"How old are you?"

"Same age as you."

"Why are you here?"

"You sure do ask a lot of questions."

"I mean there's nothing else to do."

"Isn't that the truth." I said breathing in the precious oxygen.

We sat there in a comfortable silence enjoying the breeze that licked our faces.

"Hey let's go somewhere." Jackie said not looking at me.

"Where."

"Wherever."

"Sure." I said shrugging.

"Alright. Let's go."

After an hour of driving around the pack grounds, we finally settled to go to a pizza shop that was just outside the Midnight pack territory. When we entered it was only humans but that didn't stop us. It was around lunch time anyways, and we were both starving.

Admitting I didn't have any money she paid for our pizza. She didn't seem to care so I tried not to either, but I made a note to pay her back.

Eating a slice of pepperoni pizza I groaned so loud that the people around us glared at us.
