Gage's P.O.V
"On second thought Gage, it's our date night. I'd rather tell you tomorrow, please? I don't want to ruin our night with my sob story." My love said looking up at the stars. We were laying down on the blanket looking up at the sky above us.

"No. People are coming over tomorrow." I stated playing with Naomi's black curls.

She perked my head up from my chest. "Who?"

"It's a surprise." I said. "Your hair, it's so memorizing. It's like I'm massaging your hair but I'm also massaging my fingertips." I have been rubbing her hair for a while now and I felt like I was completely under the trance of her wild black curls. And I knew for a fact that I loved it.

Damn, I'm telling you. This girl was magical.

Ripping my eyes away from her endless amount of curls I went back to the subject at hand. "Anyways, start from the beginning. I need to know." I said still running my fingers through her curls. The funny thing was that I could feel everything but happiness exit my body. Pain, frustration, anger, anguish, everything seeped out of my pores and set up camp in the shadows of the trees near us. All that was left was a content feeling and happiness.

Naomi started to say something but I couldn't hear her. By this time both hands where in her hair, and I couldn't think about anything else other than the fact that her hair smelled like coconut oil.

All of a sudden my eyes felt heavy, and the last thing I remembered feeling was her hair.

I just fell asleep to the touch of her hair.

Bliss and luxury held me captive as I slept peacefully with Naomi's hair at my fingertips. This feeling didn't last when my wolf awakened me.

I woke up with a start. My heart was pounding and my senses were sharpened to the max.

The clouds had trapped the moon behind them causing its light to stop shining down on the land below. It was dark and eerie, and my gut was telling me to leave.

Everything was hushed. Even the damn crickets had gone silent, as if they were all holding their breath at the same time.

I gathered a sleeping Naomi and wrapped her in the blanket. Picking her up bridal style I crept through the forest trying not to disturb anything.

We were being watched, and I had no idea by what.

My breathing had shallowed as I focused on getting home without being attacked. My eyes shifted back and forth, side to side.

Damn. Naomi's hair knocked me out cold.

I'm going to have to tell her to tie up her hair. I'm afraid of what else her hair is capable of.

Zigzagging through the forest with someone in my arms was not as easy as I thought it would be but I managed.

I heard leaves rustling around me. I quickly masked Naomi's scent with my own. If someone was looking for my mate than they could only smell me.

Trudging though the forest I looked down at Naomi. I felt as if I never really got to admire her beauty. The time at the ice cream parlor shop didn't count because she looked anywhere but me. Not the point. I had to stay focused.

Something or someone was watching us, and I could only think about protecting what was mine.

We were now about 50 yards from our house and I realized that Naomi never told me her story. Looking down at her sleeping form I came to the conclusion that it would have to wait.

I saw the border of the forest just up ahead but I was stopped when I heard paws bounding towards us.

I turned just in time to dodge my attacker. Skidding to a stop the wolf turned around to look at me menacingly. I held my ground and stared at the wolf with a hard look.
