"Okay tilt your head to the side a bit." I said gesturing with my hand.
The girl with blonde hair did what I asked and smiled.
I took about 3 pictures and blondie moved on to her next pose. I choose not to ask for names of my clients, because I have better things to do than to chit chat.
"Alright, your pictures should be ready and sent to you by next week. That alright?" I asked glancing at her before going back to work.
"Yup. Thanks so much, I need these pictures for my--" She started talking about her business.
I paid her no mind adding an "Oh really?" And a "Wow!" Here and there to make it seem like I actually gave a damn. When she stopped talking she started to walk out the door but stopped.
I looked up and raised my eyebrow at her. What could she want now?
"Hey, I hope you don't mind me asking but can I?" She asked hesitantly.
"Have at it."
"Weren't you that girl that went missing for a while? It's just that you looked so familiar and you were all over the news when it happened. I guess you could say you were kind of a big deal." She rambled.
Not sure how to answer her question I just shrugged. I mean she seemed to have all the answers anyways.
She soon left with a confused look on her face.
She was a nosy human. She was my least favorite client because she was exactly that. I mean I don't mind humans it's just that they ask so many questions. Usually the clients that come through are werewolves that want family pictures, but this blonde comes in regularly. But why did she ask that question now? Humans are weird.
As soon as my thoughts slowed down there was silence.
I put all of my focus on the pictures I have taken. Eventually I picked the backdrop and filter that looked the best and put the pictures in the "Finished" folder.
I actually hated taking pictures of things or people that didn't interest me. I just needed the money.
Why I needed the money? To leave. I'm tired of the pitiful looks I receive all the time. I just want to escape and never look back. But of course I'm being held back.
"Sissy!" My six year old brother shouted. One of the reasons why I was still here just happened to walk in.
"Eli!" I shouted back. A smiled spread across my face as I picked him up. The only person who has really seen me smile or genuinely happy since I got back, was my little brother.
He had one of his front teeth missing but he didn't seem to care because he was flashing smiles everywhere. His unruly curly hair laid on his perfect little head. And his big brown chocolate eyes were definitely the best thing about him. I got lost in them whenever I looked at him. His chocolate skin would make any girl go crazy. He'll definitely break hearts when he's older.
Damn his cuteness.
He threw his little arms around my neck and gave me a slimy kiss on my cheek. I cringed but I was still smiling.
"I missed you too buddy." I said chuckling.
When our reunion session was over I put him down.
"How did you get here bro?" I asked him holding his hand in mine.
"Guilty." My older sister said leaning in the door way.
