"You scared me there." Gage said honestly. "Don't get suicidal on me. That won't solve anything, if anything it'll make things worse. Whatever your going through I'm right there behind you ready to catch you if you fall."
"Gage?" I asked.
"Yes?"
"I understand. I mean what you said earlier about being stronger together?" I said.
"Good." He grumbled and grabbed my hand and kissed it.
We were in his car and we driving to the prison where the shifter was being held.
I still felt a bit numb, but Gage holding my hand helped bring me back to reality.
It was an hour drive, to the prison. I guess they wanted the prison a little father away from the pack, but when we finally got there he parked the car and looked at me.
"I'm still here." I said lazily looking into his concerned eyes.
"Your here but you're not ALL here." He said as he leaned towards my face more. "You have to be sharp before you head in there." He leaned in closer and breathed on my lip, getting closer and closer.
"Shouldn't we be going in there? The guards are waiting for us." I whispered.
"They can wait." He whispered back.
My heart thumped louder and faster. Butterflies were fighting each other in my stomach. My focus returned fully and all of it was in Gage and his plump pink lips.
He hovered over me for a second then he pulled away. He was smiling.
"Asshole."
"Sure, but you're focused now aren't you?" He said smirking.
I reached for the handle of the door and pushed it open. Before I could step out Gage grabbed my hand and pulled me in and whispered in my ear. "My lips will still be here when your done talking to that abomination of a wolf."
I involuntarily bite my lip.
He kissed my cheek and he stepped out to open my car door for me.

The door closed behind me with a heavy thud.
It was a heavy steel door with multiple bolts and locks to insure that whoever was locked inside couldn't get out.
There was a two chairs in room. If I could call it that. It was more of a dungeon, similar to what I was locked in.
There was stone floors that were damp with who knows what and 3 walls that were slimy with moss and broken shards of misery. The other wall was an impenetrable one way glass.
I looked over at the glass curiously, I knew that Gage was on the other side watching intently.
I felt like I was a detective finding out information from a suspect.
I walked to the chair that didn't have handcuffs on the side.
The shifter was shifted into a bird but the handcuff was a special type of cuff that changed sizes with every shift that this shifter makes.
The bird stared at me with beady eyes. He cooed at me. He was just a common pidgin that you would feed old bread too.
I cleared my voice and clasped my hands together on my lap and gazed at the pidgin.
"Shift." I demanded.
The pidgin continues to stare at me expectantly.
"Please." I said through gritted teeth.
