I felt like my family had only been here for only a couple of hours, but there I was waving them goodbye on Tuesday afternoon. Watching as they drove off I felt alone in this big house.

"You'll see them again. I promise." Gage said holding the door for me as I reentered the house.

I turned and grabbed his hand startling him. "I want to say thank you, for surprising me with my family."

He pulled me in to his chest and held me by my waist. Leaning down he kissed the tip of my nose then the outskirts of the left side of my lips, getting dangerously close to actually kissing me. Lingering in that area he mumbled, "Anything for my Luna."

Butterflies manifested in my stomach as I smiled at him.

Then because my brain is a bitch I remembered the thoughts and questions that have been bugging me for four days now.

"I need to talk to you about something." I said inching away from him, so we weren't touching anymore.

I lead him to the living room and I made sure that I sat in a different couch than him so I wouldn't be influenced by his touches.

"I've noticed that something has been bothering you lately. So what is it?" He asked.

"Remember the other day when I wanted to go and take a walk and my sister came with me?"

He nodded and made the hand motion to keep going.

"Well as you know, we ran into Jackie and Jack. I caught up with Jackie and I invited her and brother to come over to your house."

"Our house." He corrected.

"Well, when we got to YOUR house they were surprised that I had led them there. They said that everyone have been talking about the woman that you had returned with."

"Which is you. Where is this going?" Gage asked impatiently.

"Then Jack said 'This the longest the Alpha has had a woman with him before.' Can you explain to me what he meant by that?" I asked.

He stayed silent for 2 minutes and then he finally opened to his mouth to say, "Now that you mention it the pack has been very restless lately."

I controlled my breathing and asked him to explain for a second time.

He sighed and ran his hand through his hair. "Okay just listen to the whole story before you say anything."

My body clenched but I nodded for him to continue.

"When my parents handed over the position of the Alpha to me, my father pulled me aside and talked to me privately. He told me about the importance of being an Alpha, then he mentioned a couple of other things." He said skipping over what was really important.

I leaned back in my seat and stared at him with my hands folded in my lap. I waited patiently for him to continue, knowing that I wouldn't be happy by the end of this conversation.

"Usually werewolves meet their mates when they are 17, and I was 20 at the time and I still haven't found you yet. Alphas without mates are seen as unstable and unfit to run a pack. So my father hired a private cleaning service that sent female maids to come and clean our house. When they came, things would happen. In a way, my father did it to make me a stable leader at the time. He did it so I wouldn't go crazy. He said that men have needs and that my mate would understand. So I agreed and let him do it. Although looking back I wish I would have waited for you. You're worth it. So I'm sorry." He finished.

"What type of things would happen?" I asked.

He looked caught off guard but he answered after he stumbled for wording. "Uh, just things. Like hand stuff."
