 *Amelia’s point of view*

‘That break was way too short…’ I yawned as I slowly walked back onto the ward with a Becca, my colleague

‘You can say that again…Oh well…after today we have four days off!’ she smiled

‘roll on 8pm’ I laughed

‘right well I’ll see you in a bit, need to go get patient notes’ Becca smiled

‘Ok bye…’ I smiled watching her run ahead of me down the corridor leaving me walking back to the nurses station to get my own patient notes

‘So you excited?’ one of my other colleagues said spinning round in her chair behind the nurses station

‘for what?’ I laughed

‘JLS!’

 ‘yeah I guess so, its something different for the kids…’ I smiled picking up the notes

‘Well they’ll be here any minute now’

 ‘really? I thought they weren’t coming till the afternoon?’ I asked

‘yeah, they had to come earlier for some reason…’

 ‘oh ok….well I’ll see you in a bit, need to go and do some meds’ I smiled turning on my heels and walking back down the corridor the opposite way to my patients room

 *Aston’s point of view*

 Today was one of the reasons I loved doing this job, we were visiting a local childrens hospital to try and put a smile of the childrens faces and do what we could to cheer them up, whether it be signing a cd, singing to them, having a photo with them, nothing beat the feeling you got when you realise you’ve brightened up someones day…

Walking down the corridor, all I could see was brightly painted walls and cuddly toys. Each room was painted a different colour, each child with their own decorations around their bed…

 ‘Ast watch where your going!!’ Marv shouted

‘Oh god im so sorry…’ I stuttered kneeling down to help pick up the papers I’d just knocked out of someones hand

‘Its ok….i should’ve been looking where I was going’ laughed a girl

‘No…..its….its my fault…’ I stuttered as she drew her attention away from the papers on the floor and her eyes became fixed on mine. She was beautiful, chocolate brown eyes, perfect skin, her hair tied back neatly in a bun showing her incredible facial features. Her eyes were mysterious, but soft at the same time, she was genuinely stunning.

‘Uh….Ast….’ Marv stuttered snapping me out of a daze

‘here let me help you…’ I stuttered after a few seconds of silence, picking up the remaining papers and helping her up off the floor, smiling at her sweetly…. ‘Im Aston….’ I said

‘Hey…’ she stuttered ‘Im Amelia…’

 ‘You work here?’ I asked, what a stupid question, she was in a nurses uniform with an ID badge, of course she worked here

‘Uh…yeah…’ she answered ‘have you just got onto the ward?’

 ‘yeah…’

 ‘you want me to take you to the nurses station to meet the ward manager? She knows whats going on more than me?’ she smiled

‘yeah…please…’

We followed Amelia down the corridor until she introduced us to the ward manager where she excused herself, walking off into a patient’s room.

 What the hell just happened? This girl had just completely mesmerised me, was it possible to fall for someone in a matter of seconds? I already felt like I needed to see her again, I just hoped I’d get that chance…
