H U N T E R

Alex walked out of the studio with the biggest smile I've ever seen. My mom was acting like the paparazzi, she was taking so many pictures!

"MY LITTLE SISTER IS GONNA BE FAMOUS!" I yelled, while engulfing her in a hug.

Alex jumped into my arms gave me a tight squeeze. She let go and hugged everyone else. She thanked Mr. Afabit and we left the studio to say bye to Cameron. On our way to the lobby, I saw a girl who looked oddly familiar. She had big brown eyes and dark hair that was in a cute messy bun. She was wearing a white sweater, light wash jean shorts, and white converse (that were somehow not dirty at all?!) Then she looked up and me and we made eye contact. I stood there for a second before I realized who it was.

"Connie?" I asked.

She gave me a funny look. Maybe it wasn't her?

"Hunter? No way!" She said.

 I said, "Umm... YES WAY!! I missed you!"

I ran up to her and gave her a quick hug. I hadn't seen Connie since the fourth grade. We were bestfriends until she moved to Indiana. She looked even more amazing than I remembered. 

I asked, "What are you doing here?"

"Well you know my older brother stayed here for college when we moved. He called last week saying that he was getting a recording contract here. That was also his way of telling our family that he was dropping out of college to become a musician. My parents were upset at first, but they came through. We all bought plane tickets so we could surprise him. Why are you here?"

I said, "If you didn't know, my family adopted a little girl named Alex and it turns out that she's this, like, amazing singer and I posted a video of her singing on my instagram and it went viral. So my mom called this place and they said that they would watch the video and then call us back to see if she could come to audition. Or whatever the process is."

"OOOOOOOHH HUNTER GET SOME!" Cameron yelled."

I turned red and apologized to Connie about him, but she just laughed.

Connie's sister, Amelia, walked into the room. 

Amelia said, "So you're getting pretty famous, right? I bet it's nice having all those fangirls that will do whatever you say and scream when you press the follow button. Those girls don't even know you but-"

Even though I know it's rude, I interrupted.

"I'm not famous. I have a lot of supporters who always help me follow my dreams, but I'm not famous. Those 'fangirls'," I said, making quotation marks with my fingers, "are my supporters. They always encourage me to do my best whenever I can. They're the people who can make me smile no matter what. I've never cared what you think, so I don't want to hear it."

I heard Cameron whisper, "Oh snap,"
