Recap: I never thought I would be a singer, but I think it's what I was meant to do.B R A N D O N
I was so proud of Alex! She crushed her audition, you couldn't even tell she was nervous. I honestly think that Hunter should have a recording contract too. He can really sing, even though he doesn't like to admit it. I sometimes I listen to him when he cleans his room because he always listens to music and sings along.
I'm not much of a singer, but I've always wanted to be. Music is something that I've always been able to count on. When I'm stressed out, I play my guitar. I've taken guitar lessons for a long time, and being able to sing would really help me, but singing just isn't my thing, I guess.
"GUESS WHAT?!" Alex screamed while running into my room.
"What?" I asked, looking up from my phone.
"We have neighbors! And look!" She said, pointing out my window.
"There's a boy my age, and a pair of girl twins that are 13!" She yelled.
I peeked out my window, not trying to be creepy. The twins looked nothing alike. One had light brown hair in a side braid, and was really skinny. Like, too skinny. The other one had bright blonde hair in a ponytail on top of her head, teeth that sparkled, and was pretty much perfect. For some reason, she gave me a negative vibe. She seemed unrealistically perfect and just from watching, I could tell that she was one of those kids that acted nice around parents, but in reality, was a (insert your favorite insulting name).
I decided to be a good neighbor, and introduce myself. Alex and I walked over together and the brown haired one waved. We were in their drive way when I heard someone scream.
"OH MY GOD! IS THAT BRANDON ROWLAND?" The blonde one yelled.
I nodded and sort of introduced myself, even though she clearly already knew who I was.
"I'm Kaitlyn! I'm a cheerleader!" She squeaked.
"Oh," I said, not knowing how to respond.
The brunette stepped forward.
"I'm Elly," She whispered, "I'm sorry about my sister. She's crazy about you guys. It's so annoying."
I laughed, "I can tell."
Kaitlyn rambled, "We should hang out sometime. Like, right now! I love everyone and everything, so we could talk for hours. We could even talk at night under the stars! Wait, does Phoenix even have stars?"
Kaitlyn actually had to think about if Phoenix had stars or not.
"I was actually busy today, but I just came over to introduce myself. It was nice to meet you guys," I said, trying not to sound rude, even though I didn't like Kaitlyn.
"Bye," Alex waved.
We walked back to our house and Alex rolled her eyes.
"I was afraid she would never shut up. 'Wait, does Phoenix even have stars?'" Alex said, twisting her hair with her pointer finger, and playing dumb.
She continued, "Jeez, how stupid is she? Someone please tell me a city that DOESN'T HAVE STARS?"
I laughed at her impression. Then I thought about how Alex said that there was a boy her age.
"I didn't see a boy," I said.
"Oh, well he was there. I saw him unloading the moving truck." She said.
"Did you think Elly was too thin?" I asked.
I realized that Alex wasn't paying attention to me after she didn't respond. I poked her.
I asked, "Hello? Anyone there?"
She came back to Earth.
"WhAT?" She said.
"Nevermind." I said.
I shook my head. It's probably just me thinking too much.

ding dong. ding dong.
I heard the doorbell ring.
"I'll get it!" I yelled.
I opened the door, and saw a boy around Ashton or Alex's age.
"Hey," I said.
"Hi, we just moved in across the street. My name is Carter!"
"I'm Hunter, and...." my voice trailed off.
"ALEX! ASHTON! BRANDON! COME MEET OUR NEIGHBOR!" I shouted, startling Carter.
I heard multiple footsteps running down the stairs and there everyone was.
"I'm Brandon, and..."
"I know, my sister talks about you guys all the time but I don't see what the big deal is." Carter shrugged.
I was getting a bad feeling about him and I don't know why.
"And, she told me about Alex's singing. Congrats," He added.
Alex blushed and for some reason I got this feeling that told me to tell him to back off. I think I was just getting overprotective.
"Ok well, we'll see you around!" I said, slamming the door.
Everyone gave me a weird look and I walked away.
I don't like this ending haha.
stay positive my little turtles <3
