OMG IM SO SORRY FOR NOT UPDATING IN 7173637188171638281 YEARS I JUST WENT THROUGH ALL MY COMMENTS AND IT MEANS SO MUCH TO ME THAT YOU LIKE MY STORYYY!!! this summer has been crazy so far and a lot of stuff has happened, but that's not an excuse for not updating. i have also had writers block but i somehow managed to come up with this chapter!!

A L E X

I was listening to One Direction when Hunter came into my room, looking really nervous. Of course he had to come in now, when my favorite song was playing. "Strong." I turned my music down and faced him.

(BRING BACK 1D!! btw strong is actually one of my favorite songs thanks to @brookly18 )

"Hey," he said, sitting on my bed.

"What's up?" I responded, confused.

"Well, you remember Connie from the studio, right?"

I smirked. "No I have no idea who that is. OH WAIT IT'S ONLY THE GIRL YOU'VE BEEN TALKING ABOUT NONSTOP FOR THE PAST WEEK."

"Oh my god, you're so sassy," Hunter laughed.

"Why did you ask me? That was stupid." I said.

"I was going to ask her out and wanted your opinion on it."

I sighed, "Hunter, you know nothing about her. I don't care that you used to be bestfriends, people change. She could be using you for fame."

"But I've been texting her ever since I got her number. Trust me, I know Connie. And she would never use me for anything," he defended.

I rolled my eyes, "Whatever. If you get hurt, don't expect me to be there to comfort you."

Hunter's eyes went from bright and happy to stormy. I could tell he was hurt, but I wasn't going to apologize.

C H R I S T I N E

A couple days ago, Hunter came out of Alex's room looking mad. He stormed off to his own room, and slammed the door. I never asked what happened, but I should have. The pas couple days had been tense between them. It was strange because they used to be the closest in the house and now they barely speak to each other.

*knock knock knock*

I got up from the couch and looked through the peephole. It was Elly. I opened the door and let her know that Brandon was upstairs.

"I didn't come here to see Brandon, but I need you to tell him something." She said.

Elly took a deep breath and said quietly, "Tell him I said 'five.'"

I had no idea what that meant but I told her I would pass the message on.

"Thanks Christine," She said, walking away.

That was weird.

I ran upstairs to Brandon's room, knocked, and he opened the door.

I said, "Elly came by and she wanted me to tell you she said, 'Five.' I don't know what that means but it seemed important."

"Really?!"

Brandon was ecstatic. His eyes lit up as soon as I said the number. I wanted to know what that meant but I knew better than to "mess" with his life.

I nodded and went into my room to check the time. 4:18 p.m.

Good, I still had time to shower and get ready for my date.

WHO REMEMBERS THE GUY FROM CASTLE POINT?

When I drove that man from the amusement park to the hospital, I realized why he looked so familiar. I went to high school with him: Mike Anderson. We had a couple classes together but were never friends. In the car, we got to know each other a little bit. And I have to admit, I liked him a lot. Once we got to the hospital, he asked me if it would be okay if we went out on a date sometime. And I said yes.

The kids have no idea that I'm doing this. They think I have a business meeting. It feels awful lying to them but I'm not sure how Hunter will take it. Especially since he's been in such a  bad mood lately.

I shook off any bad thoughts and feelings and got ready for my date.

how was my first chapter in forever? it's probably not as good bc i haven't written in a  long time.

thanks for reading!
