Diana's POV

It's the weirdest feeling in the world to be dead then come alive again. At first I thought I was waking up from a glorious dream, then I realized it was all real. It's weird how your mind confuses you like that. How it can make you test your beliefs on what actually happened and what was fake.

Waking up was the least of my problems. I had to suddenly announce to everyone "Surprise! I'm back from the dead....Happy Hanukah!". Yeah, I had a feeling that wouldn't work out well. So how was I to announce that I had died and then come back to life?

Oh, and an even bigger problem? I was in a funeral home. Yup! Covered in sheets.

I slowly pulled myself from the bed and I decided not to think about how my dead body was laying there less than 24 hours ago. Ugh.

I also noticed after I got off the table that I was laying on, that I was also wearing a very pretty dress.

'A nice pick for the funeral, I must admit!' Gretchen sarcastically adds.

'Shut up Gretchen. No one likes you.'

'That means no one likes you either'

'Let's not argue about this, I just died.'

'Wait....does Pierce feel that we are alive?'

'I don't know the Moon Goddess didn't mention that in her speech that she gave me!'

'Good point..'

I cut the link off, done talking to my wolf for the day.

All of a sudden, I heard the door knob jiggle. Oh no.... I dove out the window in seconds and shut it before a women-- no Evelyn!-- walk in and look at the table. Her eyes widened when they saw the empty table where my body was.

Before I could do anything, she ran to the door, flung it open, and ran out screaming. Well that went well.

I crept to the parking lot of the funeral home and observed that it was fairly close to the pack house, about 5 or 6 miles.

Better get to Pierce before he hears that my dead body is gone. He'd have an emotional break down.

I gave Gretchen permission to take over and slowly I shifted into my wolf.

'Nice to be back. You knew you couldn't ignore me forever.'

'Gretchen, we need to get to the pack house as fast as possible!'

'Yes ma'am!'

She sprinted off into the woods and I think it was the fastest I've ever run in my life. My strides were long and graceful and the scents of nature flew into my nose.

'I forgot how good it felt to shift.' I said to Gretchen.

'You don't have to say that twice!' She yelled through the link.

I can't tell you how long we ran because I was too worried about what I was going to say to everyone. Or how they were going to react. I mean, it's kind of a rare thing for someone to come back from the dead in the werewolf world. And when I mean rare thing I mean, I'm the first.

I started to get closer to the house and it was dead quiet. I suddenly became so upset when I started to think about everything Pierce had gone through when I died. I took over control and ran faster to the house. I was half a football field away when I was tackled to the ground roughly by another wolf.

What the?!?!

I pushed and tried to get the other wolf off of me, a sudden urge to see my mate and tell him everything's okay took over. I caught a glimpse of a silver coat and a smell of the wolf and it didn't take long to recognize the wolf as Sheila.
