Avi's POV

"If you don't sit down this minute..."

I looked over at Mitch only to see all three guys staring at me. I had been pacing for the past hour, waiting on Esther and Ivy to get back. I didn't want to seem overbearing, but I was anxious as all hell. I reluctantly sat down and sighed softly. "They should be back by now."

"Have you been through this before?" Mitch asked, raising an eyebrow at me.

I rolled my eyes as I crossed my arms and looked down. "No..."

"Then they'll be back when they get back."

"He has a point man. There could be any number of things to keep them," Kevin spoke up as he plopped down on the bed next to me. "Just relax and enjoy the time you have before you have to deal with three-in-the-morning food cravings and her screaming that she hates you, even if she doesn't mean it."

"She's not gonna say she hates me."

"Do I need to show you videos of women giving birth?"

"NO!" Scott, Mitch, and I all yelled at the same time. "I'll take your word for it," I finally said as I leaned back.

The distinct sound of the door unlocking caught my attention and I watched as Esther and Ivy walked in with Kirstie behind them. "Sorry," Esther spoke up. "We ran into this one at the store."

I immediately reached my arms out, motioning for Ivy to come over, carefully hugging her once she did. "Why were you guys at the store?"

"You'll find out tonight," Ivy said with a wide smile. "And before you ask, no I'm not telling you the gender. You'll find that out tonight, too."

I curved the corners of my mouth down more than necessary, showing off my superfrown, which she only laughed at. "You'll live," she said as she sat down.

Mitch and Scott's obnoxious laughter brought us out of our small conversation, and we both looked over to see them cracking up. "What are you laughing at?" Ivy asked with a small smile.

"YOU HAVE AN AVOCADO BABY!!!!" Mitch yelled through the tears. I looked over at Ivy in confusion, and she simply shrugged her shoulders and giggled along with them.

"He's not wrong," she finally said as she sat on the bed and reached over, grabbing my hands and messing with them. "It's the size of avocado." I smiled slightly and shook my head.

"That's adorable," I said quietly as I watched her carefully.

"As fun and cute and all as this is, we have sound check in less than an hour and New York traffic sucks," Kevin said as he stood up and stretched. I quickly followed suit and helped her up before we walked out of the room. The entire ride, Ivy was texting someone, I quickly figured out was Esther. They were less than five feet from each other and they were texting.

"What are you two talking about?" I asked softly once we stepped off the bus.

"You'll find out later tonight," she said with a mischievous grin. I didn't trust it, but she wasn't going to tell me either.

"Is it about the baby?"

She nodded quietly as we walked in before immediately looking around. "I'll be right back, I gotta pee," she said and quickly walked off towards the nearest bathroom. I laughed a bit and leaned against the nearest wall, watching the others disappear from  my sight.

Most guys would probably find the whole process of a woman being pregnant irritating, but I couldn't be happier that I was having to deal with it. It meant the baby was more than likely alive and well. When she returned, I instinctively wrapped my arm around her and headed towards the stage. I would have said something, but she seemed too wrapped up in her own thoughts to notice and honestly, I was almost too wrapped up in mine.
