Avi's POV

Screaming. Cursing. Death grip. Crying. I don't think I was ready for any of it. But then again, who ever is. The silence in the room now was the complete opposite from everything a few hours ago. The entire room was completely empty aside from myself and Ivy, who was fast asleep.

It was pretty amazing how she could sleep this well after being in so much pain. She managed to stay awake the first couple hours afterwards, but not even twenty minutes after they took the babies to run more tests, she was out.

"Mr. Kaplan?" I forced myself to look away and focus my attention on the doctor steadily trying to get my attention.

"Yes sir?"

"If you want, Selena here can show you to the nursery," he said motioning towards the nurse standing near the door. "I have to run a few tests on Ivy to make sure everything is okay and working properly."

I was hesitant, I didn't want to leave, but I had to let him do his job and I wanted to see my babies. I nodded slowly and stood up, following the nurse out silently. She stopped at a corner and pointed down the hallway. "It's right down there. Can't miss it," she said with a genuine smile before walking away.

I slowly made my way down, forcing my thoughts and worries to stay at bay. I stopped when I noticed a woman looking through the windows and thought about waiting to be alone, but something kept pulling me forward. I stopped next to her, catching a whiff of perfume I knew all too well. That same scent that almost completely destroyed my relationship. "What are you doing here. If the other's see you they won't be nearly as nice as I'm being."

"I like to look at the babies and ponder what ours will look like. You, on the other hand, never were one to like hospitals, let alone just come look at babies, so why are you here."

"That's my business," I said through clenched teeth, never moving my eyes once I found both Greyson and Athena next to each other. I still couldn't comprehend that they were mine, but they were.

"Did Kirst get knocked up?"

"No, but your sister did."

"Bullshit. The chances were practically zero because I know I'm perfectly fertile."

"Well you might want to get checked, Catherine because two of those infants are mine." Silence. It probably didn't mean good things for her, but I didn't care. It was the fourth sweetest sound I'd ever heard, aside from Ivy's voice and hearing my children's cries for the first time.

"You almost got me for a second there, Avriel. I almost believed you. But really though. Why are yo-"

"You listen and you listen closely. If you come anywhere near either my son or my daughter, me, Ivy, our friends, or our families, I will personally make you regret ever walking this planet. Do you understand me?"

"You never were one to make threats, dear."

"But I've always been one to keep my promises. I'm not threatening you, Catherine. I'm promising you'll be sorry."

"Point taken. See you around sweetie. Can't wait to meet my niece and nephew." She turned and walked away, leaving my blood boiling. I walked off in the opposite direction, eventually managing to find my way back to the waiting room.

"Took you long enough man! How are they?" Scott asked, immediately gaining the attention of the others as I walked up to them.

"Scott, I need you to get me to the police station. Now. Kevin, Mitch, room 234 if you don't mind?"

"What's going on Avi?" my sister asked.

"You two lovely females can go drool over how much you want babies. Meanwhile, I want to file a restraining order."
