Ivy's POV
"I feel fine. I can climb a few stairs," I said as I crossed my arms.
"I don't think so princess. doctor's orders," Avi told me and began carrying both car seats upstairs, leaving me downstairs alone. The sound of barking caught my attention and I quickly began petting Draco and shushing him.
"You can't make a lot of noises sweetie. I need my rest and I can't get that if your brother and sister are awake," I said softly as I carefully knelt down and kissed the top of his head. I stayed like that for a few minutes before I felt someone lift me off the ground, causing me to smile a bit. "You could have said something."
"I didn't want to and you need to sleep while you can," Avi said as he carried me to his room. It hadn't changed since the last time I saw him, but I couldn't help but take it in as if it was all new.
"What are you gonna do?" I asked as he laid me down and pulled the covers up to my chin.
"I'm gonna go on ahead and make a few bottles and get them in the fridge, then get the dog used to them, then I'm gonna see if the trio minds going to your apartment and packing up your things," he said, leaning down and kissing my forehead.
"But I wanna see my babies," I pouted as I began sitting up.
He pushed me back down and tucked me in. "You can see them when you feed them. Now get some sleep while you can and while they're asleep."
"Are you sure you remember how to fix the bottles?"
"Now you're just making excuses. Yes I remember," he said and headed towards the door. "I know you don't want to, but you need to sleep so you can get better." Before I could say anything else, he walked out, closing the door behind him.
"Meanie," I mumbled as I turned over so I was facing the door. I looked around at what I could see and smiled a bit as I caught sight of the baby monitor. I hated to admit it, but he was right. I wanted to spend time with the babies and I wanted to see the nursery, but I needed sleep more than anything. I closed my eyes and managed to relax, knowing that if I had any chance of sleeping, I had to trust Avi. They were his too.
Just as the thought passed through my mind, I heard his voice through the monitor singing quietly. That's not what he said he was going to do. I shook my head slightly and sighed, allowing my exhaustion take over and his singing lull me to sleep.

"We can't have either of you waking mommy up, can we?"
"I still can't believe any of this. I mean, last time I saw you..."
"I know. It's been awhile."
I slowly sat up and yawned as I glanced around the room. It was dark. How long was I asleep? I slowly got up and scratched my head a bit before walking out of the room and making my way into the nursery.
I froze when I saw Avi with Athena in his arms feeding her, and his mother sitting in the little black chair between the two cribs feeding Greyson. "Mrs. Kaplan...I'm glad to see you and all, but what are you doing here?" I asked, walking over to her and gently stroking the boy's cheek with a finger.
"Thank my son. He thought it might be helpful to have someone around that's been through this before. He wasn't entirely sure what to do."
I walked over to Avi and touched Athena's head. "How long was I asleep?"
"I went to get you about two hours after I walked out but you looked too tired for me to wake you up so I fed them. Twice."
"I've been asleep for almost six hours and you didn't wake me up?"
"In his defense, I told him not to the last two times. You need your rest just as much as they do sweetie. Speaking from experience."
"You told me you were fine," I said, returning my attention to Avi.
"Like, I know what to do, but I'm terrified of messing up, so I asked her to stay for a few days to help both of us out. You can disagree all you want but with you healing and me being petrified, we need it."
I slowly relaxed as I smiled a bit and carefully took Athena from him, wanting to hold her. I gently adjusted her and began feeding her as I glanced over at Shelley. "You could've woken me up when she got here so I could see her reaction," I said softly, taking a seat on the floor. "How's Draco been adjusting?"
"He was a bit skeptical at first but he warmed up pretty quickly and learned real quick that they weren't something to play with. There's nothing to worry about. He's a good dog."
I barely heard my phone beginning to ring from the other room and looked to Avi. "Do you mind getting that for me?"
He nodded and jogged out of the room. I could hear him answer it, but his voice disappeared along with his footsteps down the stairs. Shrugging my shoulder a bit, I looked down to be met with a pair of bright green eyes just before she began crying. "I take it you're done?" I said softly as I set the bottle down. I reached over and grabbed a cloth, resting it on my shoulder as I brought her up and gently began patting her back.
"Why didn't I know about this?" I looked up at Shelley to see a small smile on her face as she began doing the same with Greyson.
"I thought it would be a nice surprise if you found out in person and they went on tour not long after I found out. Plus, I didn't want to get your hopes up in case something happened. I didn't want to do that to you twice," I said softly as I looked down. "I didn't want to get my hopes up."
"Well lucky for you, so far they seem like they're gonna be happy babies," she said just as I heard a strange noise near my face. I turned my head and scrunched up my nose at what I saw.
"You're lucky you're cute and my baby," I said and shook my head a bit. She had calmed down pretty quickly, so she was barely making sounds when Avi walked back in, looking a bit happier than before. "Who was it?"
"Your dad wanting to know what was the meaning of him having to find out online that you had kids."
"Oops. What did you say?"
"I told him whenever he had time either he could come here or we could go there. He really wants to meet them," he said as he sat next to me, only to scoot away almost immediately. "What is that?"
"Spit up. Get used to it because you're next," I said with a small smile. I reached over and grabbed a blanket before handing it to him. "Do you mind laying this out?" I asked, glancing over at him.
He did so, and I gently laid her on her back before wiping her mouth off with the cloth and tossing it in the dirty clothes basket. I grabbed another blanket and laid it out next to Athena's and folded the top over before transferring her over. "What are you doing?"
I looked over at Avi to see a confused expression as he watched. "Swaddling her."
"Why?"
"It'll make her feel more comfortable because it'll remind her of being in the womb," Shelley said as she stood up and handed Greyson to him. "Watch carefully," she said, talking to both of us.
She folded the top just as I had and took Greyson, laying him down on top, being sure his head was above it. She took one side and wrapped it around him, tucking it in on the other side before repeating that with the other one. I copied each step as she did them and tucked the last piece in at the top. "Make sure their legs still have a bit of room to move a bit.
I smiled a bit and looked at Avi, laughing at his expression. "I'll make you a book of how to do everything," I said with a small giggle.
"Good. I'm gonna need it."
A/N: Just kind of a filler chapter but one I figured I'd finish before I went to sleep :) Thank you so much for almost 150 reads! Keep 'em coming!
