Avi's POV
Constant crying. It was the only sounds resonating throughout the entire house and it was only six in the morning. It had been the same exact thing for the past two weeks, and it was taking a toll on both myself and Ivy. Facing the fact that I wasn't going to get anymore sleep, I threw the covers off me and got up, rubbing my tired face with a small sigh.
I made my way into the next room to see Ivy on the floor with her head in her hands. I shook my head silently and walked over to Greyson's side to see him perfectly happy staring at the small toys hanging above his head. The ear-piercing cried didn't seem to be phasing him in the slightest.
"She hasn't stopped for the past thirty minutes. She doesn't want to eat. I've tried holding her. She doesn't need to be changed. I don't know what to do," I heard her say, the panic and desperation evident in her voice.
Moving over to Athena, I gently picked her up and held her against me. I walked out, deciding it might be best to ease the noise up on Ivy, and headed downstairs into the living room. Sitting down on the couch, I began singing Light in the Hallway, keeping my voice quiet.
I watched her slowly calm down and let out a relaxed sigh as I kept singing to her until she fell asleep. Smiling a bit, I stood up and made my way back upstairs and to the nursery, laying her back down in her crib. I knelt down next to Ivy, quickly changing my position so my back was against the wall. Without a word, I wrapped an arm around her and pulled her close, laying my head back and closing my eyes.
"You'll be fine. Just relax," I whispered softly, enjoying the silence while I could.
"I can't do this."
I let out a small sigh as I stood up, pulling her with me. "Yes you can. You need sleep. We both do, which is exactly why I made this," I said as I reached over on the changing table and picked up a CD. "I've been taking notes the last couple weeks believe it or not. Usually when they're not sleeping, they want to be sang to. I made this so in a couple months, we can just lay them down, put this on, and go to bed immediately," I said, laughing a bit at the surprise on her face.
"You're a life saver." I shook my head a bit at her words and set the disk back down.
"No, I just need my sleep. Speaking of..." I quickly put the disk in the CD player, turning the volume down and pressing play. Once the volume was fine, I wrapped my arms around her and smiled. "Greyson will be fine and Athena is asleep. The same thing we need to do while it's still dark."
I pulled her with me back to our room and closed the door, immediately throwing myself on the bed next to her. Within minutes, we were both out.

"Aren't you just the cutest?" Cooing. "Yes you are. So is your sister."
I bolted up, hearing the voice through the monitor. I looked over to see Ivy still asleep next to me and quickly got up, running into the next room, ready to fight someone. I immediately relaxed, glaring at the four people in the room. "I'm going to kill all of you."
"You should really lock your door bassman. That's dangerous," Mitch said, allowing Greyson to latch onto his finger.
"I know, I know. It was a long night," I said with a small sigh as I glanced around. "What time is it?"
"Almost noon. We thought you'd be up by now so we stopped by and knocked but you never came. The door was unlocked though," Kevin said with a shrug.
"I would have been had we not been up all night only to just get to sleep when Athena started screaming Bloody Mary at six. Ivy almost had a mental breakdown."
"She still sleeping?"
I nodded. "And I plan to let her. She can only do so much," I said, glancing back to the door.
I walked over to Kirstie who had Athena in her arms and leaned down, kissing the infant's head gently.
"Did you forget to lock the door again?"
I turned quickly to see Ivy standing in the door, amusement on her face. "Go back to bed," I said walking over and lightly pushing her out of the room.
"I can survive off five hours Avi. Besides, when's the last time they ate?"
"We've fed them once. Sorry if we weren't supposed to. Mitchie just couldn't help himself. He wanted to play mama," Scott said with a small shrug.
Ivy shook her head a bit, relief plastered on her face. "No it's fine. They needed to. I meant to get up a few hours ago and feed them but they weren't crying and I didn't set an alarm," she said with a frown.
"Heard anything from Catherine?"
The question caught both of us off guard as we looked to Kirstie. I slowly shook my head as I stared at her. "No, but the thought's still there. Not hearing from her can either be a good thing or a bad thing. I just hope it's good," I said, glancing between the two babies.
"Since you wanna play mama so bad, you two can feed them," Ivy said with a small laugh. She walked out, returning a couple minutes later with two bottles. She handed one to Mitch and the other to Kirstie. "Sorry but I'm tired of getting spitup on me. It's not pleasant," she said, earning a disgusted look from Mitch. "You wanted to play parent."
Mitch rolled his eyes as he took a seat and began feeding the baby boy as Kirstie did the same with Athena.
"How's your emotions doing?" I looked to Kevin to see his eyes on Ivy. I couldn't blame him for asking. She had been pretty moody and irritable lately, but more often than not, she was depressed. According to the doctor, it was normal, but that didn't mean I liked it.
"They're getting better. Besides last night, I haven't really been that sad. Just helpless at times," she said as I nodded in agreement.
"Good. They should be back to normal within the next week," he said as he sat on the floor, watching two thirds of the trio with the babies. "Just remember that it seems hard now, but in a few years, you're gonna look back and want this again. The adorableness more than the crying but still."
I took a seat next to him as Ivy walked over to Kirstie, lightly stroking Athena's cheek, clearly much happier without the screaming. I wasn't sure if I wanted anymore kids, but my mom had said the same thing. Who knows, maybe once they're older. Only time would tell.
