Scott's POV

"For the last time, you don't look like Minnie Mouse ate a whale!"

"And for the last time, yes I do!"

"You're just saying that because you're stressed. You need to relax!"

"I am NOT stressed! I'm in PAIN!"

They've been going at it for the past twenty minutes as we had sound check in an hour. It was funny really. It had been like this almost everyday for the past week. Ivy would make a comment about how she felt like some oversized animal, Avi would deny it, and they'd go a it for up to an hour, but today we didn't have that kind of time.

I looked over at Kirstie, Kevin, and Esther who were watching them with just as much amusement as I was, before looking down at Mitch with his head in my lap. For a moment, I thought he was asleep, but from the way he would flinch when they would raise their voices, he wasn't.

"If I can interject...one, Ivy, you don't look like Minnie Mouse ate a whale, you look pregnant. Two, we don't really have time for this, and three, you just have to deal with it for a few more days," I said, shifting a bit so I could get Mitch off me before I stood up. We normally would have all been home right now with it being so close to Christmas, but we decided that since tonight was our last show, we could just go home then.

"Would it make you feel better if I got you something to eat?" Avi asked, shaking his head slightly. I couldn't help but laugh a bit.

"It's not a matter of making me feel better. It's them, and food doesn't really help but it sound's delicious." Poor guy. "Pizza?"

"I'll gave someone deliver it to the venue. Look, are you sure we don't need to cancel tonight?"

Every single one of us has asked her that same question at least one time today and the answer was always the same. "I think I can power through one more show," she said. Ivy smiled a bit, but it was clearly being forced. I couldn't imagine dealing with one active baby but she was dealing with two. I don't see how she does it.

Avi's POV

"That's going to be $64.17." The things I do for that woman. I quickly paid for the four pizzas and thanked the man before turning around, stopping immediately when I saw Ivy standing directly behind me.

"Hi there," I said with a small laugh. "Would you like a slice?"

"Two please," she said almost impatiently as I managed to open the top box and hand her a couple slices of pizza. I watched as she took a bite and seemed to relax almost instantly. "Gosh I love you," she mumbled between bites.

I simply laughed and shook my head as I leaned down and kissed her cheek. It amazed me how fast she was able to down food without choking, especially when she was walking, but by the time we got backstage and I set the boxes down, she was reaching for more.

"Go check your sound bassman. You can have some after everything is okay," she said as she began eating. I thought about arguing, but I knew better and jogged onto the stage, taking my mic from Kevin.

There was no denying I was tired, but with rehearsals and shows and the babies moving around enough to be making up their own dances and constantly keeping Ivy uncomfortable, it was hard to find time to sleep. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't blaming anything on her, but the reality check wasn't a pleasant one. I was about to be this exhausted for at least the next year. And that was without touring.

I wasn't entirely sure I was ready, but I knew I didn't have a choice. I needed to enjoy the time sleeping while I could, which is exactly what I did after sound check. I had forgotten what good sleep was, but it was over too soon when Scott shook me and handed me my mic. Showtime.

I was still hesitant on putting on the show, but I knew if I didn't there would be hell to pay, so I reluctantly took my spot and took a deep breath. I couldn't help but look over at Ivy who was smiling, even though her eyes screamed she was in pain. Or did I imagine it? Shaking my head slightly, I focused on Esther until she gave us the go-ahead.

We always made it a point to end our tours in LA, just to make it easier on us afterward so we could go straight home. "Thank you guys for coming out tonight. We couldn't be happier with the turnout," Scott said with a wide smile. "I say we bring out the one person we couldn't do this without, our tour manager and this sexy bassman's sister, Esther!" Scott motioned towards the backstage area closest to me, but no one came out.

"Come on Es, don't be shy," I said with a small laugh, but it immediately fell when I saw Jake come out instead.

"We'll that's definitely not her," I heard Mitch say, confusion lacing his voice as Jake spoke just loud enough to where I could hear him.

My eyes widened a bit as he jogged off stage. I'm going to kill her. First, I'm gonna meet my kids, then I'm gonna kill her. My eyes darted to the others who seemed just as confused as the crowd. I couldn't even speak. I simply nodded my head once and ran off stage, managing to maneuver my way around the equipment without breaking anything.

As I ran past Jake, I snatched my keys out of his hands, barely hearing his laughter. "Thanks!" I shouted as I ran out the door. I had just made it to my car before Scott caught up with me and yanked them out of my hands.

"You are in no shape to drive," he said and gripped my arm yanking me towards his SUV. For such a scrawny guy, he had some strength. Then again, I didn't put up much of a fight because I knew he was right. If I drove, the chances of all of us getting hurt increased by a ton.

I kept completely silent the entire way to the hospital, almost able to hear my heart beating out of my chest over the sounds of other cars and horns. I jumped out just before Scott stopped completely and ran to the door, catching a nurse's attention. "Can I help you folks?"

"I-Iv-Iv-"

"Ivy Summers," Kevin finished for me and I gave him a grateful smile. "Is she okay?"

"Ahh yes, she's doing just fine. Are you the father?" she asked looking over at me. I opened my mouth to speak, but remembered how that went just a few moments ago. I snapped my mouth shut and nodded my head quickly.

"Guys!" I turned to see Esther jogging towards us with a small smile.

"How long have you two been here?" I asked as I gave her a quick hug.

"You can't get mad."

"How long?"

"About half an hour after the show started." She is so not getting out of this.

"They're prepping her now if you want to come with me, I can get you what you need," the nurse said. I smiled nervously and nodded gratefully. "Thank you," I said as I left the group and followed her.

"Just doing my job. There's really nothing like seeing your child for the first time. It's indescribable," she said as she looked down at her clipboard. "But I can tell you one thing. This is just the end of another chapter of your book you call life. Everything from now on is uncertain."
