Your POV
We went to Eddie's funeral, saddest thing we had to do. Tears have fallen, hearts are broken, spirits have been put down. But there was one very special key point that took place at the funeral.
Eddie has a 27 year old son named Drake and he'll be taking over Eddie's business. Eddie never mentioned Drake before, I guess they had a poor relationship with each other. Or maybe it's something else, I don't know.
Anyways, while Drake was speaking about his father during the funeral, he requested for my family and I to stand so he'd familiarize himself with our faces. "Very well," Drake said, "I look forward to serving you all as well as my father did. Please stop by the motor shop anytime you need anything, I'll be there."
"We greatly appreciate your kindness to us, Drake. My family and I will be sure to come by when we need to." My dad smiled.
Drake said a few more words for his father and stepped down from the podium. I've already said what I was going to say, my pack has already gone up as well, now we sit until the funeral is over.
I kept my head down while tears trickled down my cheeks, it's a good thing I didn't wear makeup.
A few more people said their last words to Eddie while his coffin was still out of the ground. Oh, I forgot to mention that this funeral is outside and we're sitting in front of Eddie's grave burial spot.
My dad helped get the coffin into the ground gently as everyone threw flowers on it.
I hate this. I hate saying goodbye, hate losing someone, hate the sadness...Eddie did everything he could for us...he's worked hard...it's time for him to rest.
---
It took us all a couple days to feel a little brighter about Eddie's passing. My training was thrown off, but my dad is now back in full swing and it's back to practice for me.
"(Y/n), I have a surprise." Dad said as he led me to the boundary. "And what's that?" I asked.
"It's at the boundary, this is gonna be fun." He smiled. The boundary soon became visible, I saw all of the vampires lined up...but Andy was covered in something. It looks like metal, it's shiny, is it armor?
"Hello, King (L/n), Andrew is suited up and ready." Vamp King greeted us.
"Good, take him into the deep woods, I'll be there in a second. The rest of you, start sparring." Dad ordered.
"What are we doing?" I wondered.
"You'll see." He told me, following the vamp king and Andy into the woods.
"Ready, Andrew?" Vamp King asked his son.
"...yes." He nodded.
"(Y/n), you're having fire practice today and Andy is your target, have fun." Dad shoved me towards Andy and I bumped into him. "What?! But this armor is just metal! It'll melt! What if I actually hurt him?!" I freaked out.
"He'll be fine, he'll be fine! Go on, shoot a flame at him." Dad urged me. I made my heat rise and popped a flame out of my finger. I flicked the little flame on Andy's armor, making a drop of the silver metal melt off. "See? This isn't safe, I'm not doing this." I crossed my arms over my chest. "(Y/n)-"
"Look, dad," I cut him off, "I think I have a pretty good handle on my flames and I don't need practice. I'm good. I'll pass on this. I'd rather have another awkward marriage class with mom." I started walking away.
"If you're so good with your fire, show me exactly how good you are." Dad challenged.
I turned around with my heat up, summoning flames to my palms. I made my flames rise 20 feet high, making them spin like tornadoes. Fire peeked out of my smirk as I let it loose when I screamed. The bright lights formed in my eyes, then they shot out of me like fireworks.
