Chapter 58: After Him

3rd Person POV

"I hope these fit him." (Y/n) got the bags of clothes from the trunk. "They should, we'll be ok for the next two weeks until Phoenix grows out of them." Andy assured his wife, taking some bags from her grip.

"Let's hurry inside, Nick has probably gone crazy." She hurried.

While Andy and (Y/n) went clothes shopping for Phoenix, Nick was left to watch the little Prince.

Why didn't they just take Phoenix with them? Well, all werewolves and vampires have certain transformation periods. Vampires usually transform for the first time after a month of living. Werewolves transform for the first time either months or a couple years after birth.

Fearing that Phoenix could transform in public, they left him home with Nick.

"Heyy, we're home." (Y/n) called when she stepped into her house.

"Hi, mommy!" Phoenix ran up to her and crawled up her leg to hug her. "Hi, baby." She set the bags down and took Phoenix into her arms to hug him properly.

"Hey, (Y/n)." Nick smiled at her.

"Hi! He wasn't much trouble was he?" Andy asked. "No! Not at all, he's a smart kid, he loves talking, and repeating what those kid's shows say." Nick said.

Yes, Phoenix has been able to absorb more into his vocabulary from hearing his mom and dad talking, and watching kids channels. He always tries to repeat everything his parents say, so they've been watching what words leave their mouths, and which shows he watches.

"That's great, thanks for watching him. Oh, and because Phoenix is so fond of you, could you be the one to watch him whenever we're out?" The Queen favored.

"Totally! I'm up for it any time." Nick nodded.

"Ah, thanks so much. We'll see you another time then." She thanked him.

"I missed you, mommy." Phoenix snuggled into her. "I missed you too, baby." She walked with him to the living room.

"That kid is all about his mom, it's like I never existed to him. Anyway, see you later, Nick." Andy gave Nick a nod.

"Alright, see ya." Nick grinned and left.

"Phoenix, didn't you miss me?" Andy asked his son. "Yes!" The Prince replied.

"It doesn't seem like it! Where's my hug and kiss? You're all over mommy, I'm jealous." Andy plopped next to Phoenix and (Y/n) on the couch.

Phoenix went to his dad's side, hugged Andy's arm, and patted it. Just when Andy was about to hug back, Phoenix went back to his mom. The little boy stared at his mother in a sort of dreamy daze.

"I've noticed that he never takes his eyes off you." Andy observed.

"I know. It's kinda creepy, but it's cute too." She looked down to connect her eyes with Phoenix's mostly blue irises. He still has small hints of (e/c) left on the edges.

"My beautiful baby boy." (Y/n) leaned down and kissed his forehead. "Beautiful mommy." Phoenix giggled.

Andy just stared at them from the side.

Some minutes passed and (Y/n) bursted into laughter from Andy's stare still being held at them.

"Honey, get over here! Don't just sit there and be distant." She patted the seat next to her.

Andy tore his gaze away from them and stayed silent.

(Y/n) sighed and took Phoenix to Andy, sitting the boy on his dad's lap while she sat next to the sour vamp she has for a husband.
