Azula dragged me down the halls. Her hands were steel around mine. I was trailing behind the princess and I was hoping there would be something that would pop up so I could leave.
I looked around at the scenery and I realized I wasn't paying much attention before because I didn't know where we were.
"Where are we? You said you would take me back to my quarters!" I stopped my trail stubbornly. Azula growled and turned so quickly I jumped back. She grabbed my shoulder with her sharp nails and pulled my face close to mine.

"Listen peasant, you will go into this and do everything I say. If you don't, first I'll start with those girls you are always around. I'll burn their heads from there bodies and leave in on your bed. Talk about sweet dreams." She paused looking me over. When she only saw pure fear she smirked. "Then it will be you next. Is that clear." She gripped my hair tightly. I didn't answer except a small whimper.

Her hands became extremely hot. "Is. That. Clear." She gritted her teeth.
I nodded quickly, as much as I hated Azula I wasn't afraid to do something crazy in front of a bunch of rich guys. It doesn't bother me. And hopefully that is exactly what Azula is dragging me here to do.

She let go of me right when she heard footsteps. "Zuzu, glad you could make it." I turned around quickly to see Zuko walk towards us. He smiled at me then went back to his strait precessional face.

"What am I here for exactly Azula?" She smiled and looked to the floor.

"Oh, I think you won't be pleased but you will be releaved it's been sought out." She paused and looked to the ceiling like she was mulling something over.

Zuko snarled, "this is worthless, I'm going back to my room." He turned around.

"No no no, Zuko. We found out how dear mother died." She pressed her hands together. My eyes widened and my mouth opened.

"She died of sickness. That's it Azula." Zuko clinched his fists.

"I think we both know that's not true. Come" she motioned for him to follow her.

We all approached a large set of doors. Azula pushed them open and led me around to the center of a large circular room surrounded by the members of the council.
"Stay." Azula nudged me and sat on a table a couple feet away.

The entire council stood and bowed to the Prince and Princess. I rolled my eyes.
"Princess you say you know what happened to the Fire Lady?" The head of the council kept standing as the others sat back down.
Azula smirked and stood up.

"Yes. It took me awhile to gather enough evidence but I had my suspicions from the moment my mother got sick in the first place." She said pretending to look very sad.

The council nodded and let her walk to the center with me.
"Dear Katara, you knew my mother well, didn't you?" She smiled.
"Yes very well." I nodded.

"And from what some of the guards tell me you are a healer?" She raised a eyebrow.
What is she getting at? She can't possible make everyone think that I killed her mother?

I nodded. But she wasn't looking at me, her eyes were now on Zuko, starring at him with evil.
His eyes narrowed.

"But did you really heal her, or was that just a stage to mask the poison you gave my mother the night before." I gasped. She was holding a small cup in her hand. Actually it was the exact cup I gave Ursa the night before. But I could have sworn it was only water.

"No I didn't! You know I didn't! Your mother was very dear to me!" I stepped forward defending myself. The council banged his fist on the table. "Quiet!" He yelled and motioned for Azula to resume.

"No, you were angry with our family for taking you away from your home, were you not?" She shoved me back. I broke my sting look and was devoured in fear for a second.

"I was angry, but not with Ursa." I charged back.

"No but you thought that would be a good way to get back at us." She motioned to herself and Zuko. I looked at Zuko for the first time since Azula started going on about this. He looked totally stiff. I didn't know if he was mad at me or Azula.

"No I didn't!" I barked back.
Azula came in close. "Remember the deal." She whispered so I could barely hear.

I never knew what her problem was. She just always hated me, and she tried everything she could to get me in pain. It hurt more emotionally knowing we could have been good friends.
"I-I" I lowered my head in defeat. Tears slipped through my eyes and I went to my hands and feet.
"No." I whispered. "No! I didn't kill her." I looked back up at Azula who's eyes were now wide and filled with rage.
I shot back a little at the intensity. "I-I didn't." I looked over to Zuko who was now standing. He looked down at me with questioning sad eyes. I shuffled closer.

"Zuko! No!" I held my hands up.

"Not to mention we have witnesses in the kitchen. They said you were there making something for the fire lady. They said it had no smell or color, but it wasn't plain water." She shrugged. "And I have to say, I have always trusted my people. Why should that be tested how." She tilted her head in question.

I was still on my knees. "No-!" Azula shot daggers with her eyes. Like she does over and over again. Then she walked over to me and bent down to whisper in my ear.

"I will kill them all tonight." She whispered and shot back up.
I widened my eyes and looked around rapidly to all the faces in the room, then I stopped on Zuko. A face I knew so well it ached. A face I have known since I arrived here. I could see the images roll through my mind quickly. Him growing up every little step. His smiling was tattooed on my eye lids. But in order to save others I must give my self up. I sighed and put my head on the floor and held my hands up.

"I." I paused almost having to choke the works up. "I killed her." Gasps echoed through the room. I looked up to all the people. There mouths were almost to the floor. And Azula's smirk, oh that smirk, I wanted to kill her. It was the people like her who killed my mother. Then my eye shifted to where Zuko was sitting. He was getting out of his seat and he left for the door.
I fell to he floor again. People were booing me and they were coming down from the stands to kick me around. I cried from the pain.
I was kicked in the stomach the head the legs. My sobs were getting louder.

The people were screaming at me. Asking me how I could kill such a perfect women.

But guess what?! I asked the same thing about your people when you killed my mom. I guess we're even.
