Chapter 12

Tris pov

Tobias, my friends, and I just graduated high school.

Tonight my mom and Tobias Mom are having a graduation party for Tobias and I. They invited our friends and Caleb and Amy to come. Caleb and Amy are also going to bring baby Lucy who I haven't seen in a long time. I miss my cute little niece.

Right now Tobias is helping my dad and his dad put up decorations. While I help my mom and Tobias Mom make snacks for tonight.

They are making this chicken thing. Evelyn puts a piece of raw chicken in front of me and ask me to cut it into strips.

I look at the chicken and the smell makes me want to gag. I've cooked chicken before why do I want to throw up.

I run to the nearest trash can, which wasn't that far and throw up.

Tobias and our moms come running to my side.

"You okay" Tobias ask me holding me protectively.

He puts a hand on my forehead and checks if I have a fever.

"Well you're not hot" he says

"Wow thanks" I say and then he gets the joke and starts to laugh.

"You know what I mean. You don't have a fever" he says and I nod giggling.

"I know I was just trying to mess with you" I say

"So are you okay? How are you feeling?" He ask me, lifting me up and sitting me on the kitchen counter. He hands me a bottle of water and holds my hand.

"I feel fine. I was just getting grossed out by the chicken I think" I say and my mom and Evelyn look disappointed

"I finally thought she was pregnant" Evelyn says

"Me too" my mom says

"Mom" Tobias and I say to our moms. They just shrug and continue to do what they were doing.

"Maybe you should just rest for a little. Lay down on the couch." Tobias says to me

"I'm fine babe" I say

"Are you sure" he says as I sip my water

"I'm sure" I say

"Are you pregnant" he ask

"No" I say

"If I was. I would tell you" I add

"Okay" he says smiling.

He's about to let go of my hand but I grab back onto it and pull him back to me and give him a kiss.

"Love you" I say

"I love you too" he says kissing my head.

I sit on the counter for a little and then go back to helping my mom and Evelyn, just not with the chicken it grossed me out.

I think I'm going to become a vegetarian.

Caleb and Amy came first. The party is at Tobias house.

Amy holds Lucy in her hands while Caleb walks behind them with a bag of toys and baby essentials.

Tobias sees Caleb struggling so he goes over and helps him.

I grab the baby out of Amy's hand. Greeting her with a hug real quick then going to the couch with Lucy.

"Hi baby" I say playing with her tiny hands.

She giggles and lays in my arms peacefully.

Tobias comes and sits next to me. Looking over my shoulder at the baby. He's making funny faces.
