Tris pov

Today is Brian's 1st birthday. It's also the day I was raped but let's not talk about that. I'm putting it in the past.

Tobias is coming over in a few minutes with Brian. We're having the party at my house because this is Brian's main home and it's where we decided to have the party.

Our parents and friends are coming over to celebrate Brian's 1st.

My parents & Tobias parents are doing the cooking because let's just say I'm not the best cook.

Tobias walks through the front door with Jenna behind him. She's holding brian. Ugh I hate when she holds my baby.

"Hey Tris" Tobias says

"Hey" I say walking over to Jenna and taking the baby out of her arms.

"I was holding him" she says

"I don't care" I say walking to the kitchen with Brian in my arms kissing his cheeks.

"Happy Birthday buddy" I say in my mommy voice.

I sit him on the counter and hold his hands, clapping them together and he laughs.

"So what do you need help with" Tobias says

"Hanging decorations up, blowing balloons" I say

"Okay" he says

I show them where to hang everything and put everything. Then I go to the kitchen and sit Brian in his chair. I hand him some grapes and animal crackers. I pour him some apple juice in his cup and hand it to him and he smiles, sucking on a animal cracker.

I give him a kiss on the head and go to help decorate.

After a while of decorating I look at the time and realize I only have an hour to get myself ready for the party.

"I think we're good on decorations, we just need balloons. So can you blow some up while I take a quick shower" I say to Tobias

"Sure" he says

I go to my room and strip my clothes then jump in the shower.

I rub soap all over my body and scrub my hair with shampoo.

Then I get out. Dry myself and wrap a towel around my body and walk into my room. Then Tobias just walks into my room.

"Tobias. Knock much" I say wrapping the towel tighter around my body.

"Tris I've seen you naked before but anyway we need more tape. Where's it at? I checked in the living room cabinet where we always keep the tape but there was none" he says

"Check in the closet in the hallway. I put some extra tape in there." I say

"Okay" he says closing the door and walking out.

I put a navy blue summer dress on and tan wedges then quickly but nicely put my hair in a high ponytail.

I walk out of my room and into the living room where everything for the party seems to be done.

Our parents arrive first with the food and fight over who gets to hold Brian first. Then our friends start to show up. Then they start fighting over who gets to hold Brian first. Then lastly caleb and Amy show up with Lucy sleeping in Caleb's arms. They said she wasn't feeling good.
