Tris pov
"Mommy wake up. It's your birthday" Kyle screams at me from his hospital bed. He had a long night.
He wasn't feeling good and his IV was bothering him. I feel like I just closed my eyes to sleep.
I open my eyes and yawn.
"Good morning baby" I say going over to his bed and giving him a kiss on the head.
"Happy Birthday mommy" he says smiling
"Thank you buddy" I say
"Where's your father?" I ask him looking around for Tobias.
"I'm not suppose to tell you" he says
"Okay" I say
A few minutes later Tobias walks in with a cake and our friends & parents, Balloons. They all walk in singing happy birthday.
I smile and run over and give each and every one of them a hug.
When I get to Tobias I give him a kiss.
"Thank you for this" I say
"Anything for you" he says and I smile giving him another kiss. He kisses me back but I get so distracted by his lips that I forget we're in a hospital surrounded by our friends, family, and son.
"Ew mommy and daddy are kissing" Kyle says and I giggle and pull away from Tobias amazing lips.
"Who wants cake" my mom says
"Me" Kyle screams
My mom hands everyone a piece of cake and we sit in the hospital room laughing and spending time together.
Kyle, Lucy and Samantha play together while I talk with the adults.
"Mommy" Kyle says crying. I get up from my chair and go to his side. Tobias does the same. Everyone watches and observes.
"Why are you crying? What's wrong?" Tobias ask him, sitting him on his lap. I sit next to them and hold Kyle's hand.
"I don't feel good" he says rubbing his tears away.
"I know buddy, I know" I say laying his head on me and brushing my fingers through his hair.
I put my hand on his head and check to see if he has a fever.
"He's burning" I say to Tobias
"I'll get the doctor" he says putting Kyle on my lap and leaving the room to get the doctor to check Kyle.
"I'm sorry mommy" he says
"Sorry for what" I tell him
"For ruining your birthday" he says and I lose it. Tears rush out of my eyes.
"You didn't ruin my birthday. You made my birthday special and amazing" I say hugging him
"I love you" he says hugging me
"I love you too" I say
"Lets lay you down because daddy is coming with the doctor to try and make you feel better" I say laying him in his bed.
My mom holds my hand and I lay my head on her shoulder.
