Thomas wanted that baby so much. He cried tears of joy when I finally gave him the news of my pregnancy. And now, how could I tell him that I've lost it? I've lost THAT something that he wanted more than anything else.

Everything started almost 1 year ago, when Thomas came home 3 months earlier from the set of The Death Cure.

"Dylan had an accident while filming a stunt", he said. "The production is postponed for undefined term."

Then, a couple of weeks later, Kaya made public her pregnancy. It was now clear that Thomas would stay home for about a year.

Being engaged for almost 6 months now, we decided to get married before he would go back on the set. It was a small wedding, only close friends and family. However, Thomas was a bit sad that his mate Dylan couldn't attend the wedding.

As time went on, Dylan's recovery went well and Kaya gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby boy. When she and her husband Ben came to visit for the first time since giving birth, their newborn child had Thomas wrapped around his little finger. He would constantly sing to him and make funny faces while the baby would giggle.

That night after our visitors went home, we head up to our room in the house we shared with Jake, Thomas' best friend. I was in the bathroom getting ready for bed when he wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my neck. "Isn't Kaya's baby a sweetie pie?", he asked.

"Yes, he is", I smiled to our image reflected from the mirror.

He paused for a couple of seconds before speaking again. "Can I ask you something?"

"Of course, anything." We used to talk about everything, we've never kept secrets from each other and we were definitely best friends before husband and wife.

"Well...I was thinking...but only if you'd want to of course...", he stuttered "Uh...I was wondering if you'd want to...you know...stop taking the pills?"

My eyes widened at his question. Was he really thinking at the same thing as I was?! I turned around to face him.

"You mean, my birth control pills?!"

"Well...yes", he confirmed.

I was a bit surprised at first, because we agreed that for now our careers were more important.

"Tommy, do you think we are ready for having a baby?", I furrowed my eyebrows, a habit I took it from him.

"All I know is that I want to start a family with you."

Our eyes locked and in that moment all I could see there was assurance; assurance that everything would be fine and that he was ready for anything a child's growth would involve.

"Fine, I will stop taking them from tomorrow", I assured him.

He smiled widely and hugged me tight. I hugged him back and start laughing "Are we really doing this?"

"Yes love, we are going to make a baby!" He was laughing too, pure happiness plastered all over his beautiful face.

But I was going to find out that it wasn't so easy to get pregnant. After a couple of months of unsuccessful attempts and many appointments at different doctors, we were finally ready to give up. And then, two weeks before Thomas' birthday, the pregnancy test came out positive. I stared at those two little red lines for at least 3 minutes before realizing it was finally happening: I was pregnant with Thomas' baby.

Tears filled my eyes as I hidden the test in my dressing gown's pocket.

"This has to wait for now", I told to myself.
