I woke up the next morning alone in our bed. That was odd, because Thomas wasn't usually a morning person. But when the phone's watch read 11:30 I realized I was the one who slept in today. I quickly got up from bed and went downstairs and into the kitchen.

Thomas was there having a funny conversation with Jack about one of their high school teachers. Was it again the one with the big hands?

"Oh, good morning Y/N", he greeted. "Your breakfast is in the oven, I think it's still warm enough."

"You made me breakfast?", I laughed. "You let me sleep in then you make me breakfast?"

I went towards him and I kissed him on the cheek "Good morning, by the way. And thank you."

"Well what can I say? I'm a good husband, you're lucky", he giggled.

"Oh...and a modest one too", I added.

I went towards the oven and took out my breakfast: American Pancakes. Of course, ever since he got back from the States he started to cook Pancakes almost every week. He said Dylan has teached him how to do it.

"So guys, the rest of the Sangsters should be here in two hours", Jack said. "My family is on their way for the final preparations."

"It's just a birthday party, mate", Thomas answered. "Calm down." He lit a cigarette and exhaled o whole mouth of smoke. "It's not that I'm not going to have another one next year."

"You're turning 27, dude!", Jack laughed.

"Yes, and? You seem pretty happy that I'm getting old!" He rolled his eyes and inhaled another smoke. "Don't forget you're not that far behind me!", he giggled again.

"Tommy, would you like to put out the cigarette please?" I asked kindly. "I'm still eating."

"Oh, of course", he jumped from his seat and throw it in the sink. "I'm sorry."

Jack just gave me questionable look, then shrugged. I smiled at him, meaning that everything is fine and went back to my breakfast. Usually we would smoke in the kitchen, the only room in the house where smoking was allowed; and it have never bothered me to eat while someone is smoking next to me, but now it wasn't all about me anymore.

After breakfast I went upstairs to get ready for the party and for the big news. I was so excited, finally I was going to tell Thomas about the baby. The boys remained downstairs to greet the guests and make the final preparations.

I chose to wear a red dress, one of Thomas' favourite. My hair was curly and it went loose down my back and my makeup was very natural as I usually liked it.

I checked myself in the mirror for the last time, then went towards the closet to get Thomas's birthday present. It was wrapped in blue paper with a lovely red ribbon.

I went downstairs to the living room, where everybody was crowded around the table. They were eating, drinking, telling jokes and laughing. It was such a wonderful environment and suddenly I realized that our baby will be surrounded only by love.

"Oh, here's my lovely wife!", I heard Thomas's voice from the other side of the room. He approached me and hugged me tight, pecking my lips. He was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans, all handsome.

"Happy birthday, husband!", I said smiling. "I love you!"

"I love you more", he whispered and giggled, while kissing me again, harder this time.

We pulled away, but I stayed in his arms for another couple of seconds enjoying his body warmth.

"Come on guys, it's time for presents!" Ava yelled, so I went towards her and hugged her. Tasha was also there, so I kissed her both cheeks and hugged her tight.
