I feel something wet against my face. I open my eyes and Max is sitting there licking me. I smile and look at the clock. I'm running late! Thank goodness Max woke me up. I race down my loft and get changed into skinny jeans and my baseball T-shirt since we have a game today and my white converse. I run to my bathroom and throw my hair into a ponytail. Then I rub lotion on my face and then I apply my powder. I brush my teeth.

I run out of my bathroom and grab my book bag. I go downstairs and grab a Cinnamon muffin and head out the door. I finish it by the time I open the garage and hop on my motorcycle. I strap my helmet on and pull out of the driveway.

In a few minutes I arrive at school. I park and lock. I put the keys in my pocket and run inside. I put my book bag in my locker and grab my books and then race to homeroom. I make it just in time. Whew...

I set my books and binders down on my desk and wipe my forehead. I have four minutes to spare. Hunter walks in and sits down at the desk next to me. "Running late?" He asks. I just nod my head and yawn.

"I would have been tardy if it wasn't for Max." Hunter laughs then asks, "Are you ready for the game today?"

"Ready as I'll ever be." I tell him. I can tell he's nervous about it. "Don't worry. You'll be fine. We're going to win"

"April, This is Summit we're talking about. No one's beaten them this year yet. Their basically undefeatable." Hunter says. He's starting to sweat.

"Hunter, I believe we can win. If I can believe that. You can to." Hunter just nods his head but doesn't say anything.

The teacher gets everybody's attention so she can start morning announcements. The day has started. Let's just hope we make it until the end.
