I didn't realize I had fallen asleep until I woke. Which, obviously is pretty obvious given the peculiar fact that we are never aware that we are asleep.

Anyways, when I returned to conscience, it was dark outside. It was rather cold aswell.

We were still moving, but something seemed different. I twisted around a little and blinked rapidly, trying to get out of my awfully groggy state of mind.

I was being carried.

"Brendon?" I whispered, not sure why I was whispering. There wasn't another sound to be heard but boots carefully treading the ground bellow and I didn't want to disturb the peacefulness.

"I'm sorry I woke you, it's quite late," he responded, his town equally low as mine was couple of seconds prior.

I remained still, subtly nuzzling my face against his chest, protecting half of my face from the icy wind that attacked it mercilessly.

Brendon halted and released me from his grasp, but still leaving one of his hands draped around my shoulders as he fumbled for what I assumed were keys in his pocket.

He unlocked the door and I followed him inside, quickly closing the door to shut out the weather.

He didn't seem bothered by the lack of light and securely led me through the house until my legs bumped into something and I let out a muffled yelp, which made Brendon chuckle quietly.

"Come get some rest," he said and slowly pulled me down onto what I now realized was a bed.

I hurriedly dragged the blanket over myself and lay down, smiling at the quality of the bed, which was probably worth more than all of my possessions put together.

"Good night, Ryan," I heard him say and felt him lie down next to me.

We lay absolutely still the first few minutes, but I practically felt the warmth radiating from his body about an inch away from mine. I did my best to act as if I were asleep as I slowly inched closer to him.

Probably knowing what I was after, Brendon's hand made contact with my arm and traced it's way down to my waist, where he pulled me closer and proceeded to trace his fingers over my exposed skin.

It wasn't sexual in the slightest, but rather quite comforting as he drew patterns onto my skin and soon I fell asleep once more.

Sunlight scorched my eyes as I attempted to open them the following day.

I turned around and burried my face in the pillow, endorsing the momentary relief from the bright light.

A few minutes passed with me having my face shoved into a pillow until I gathered the courage to face the day.

Squinting, I got up and made my way to the window.

I thought I was still dreaming when my eyes caught sight of the view in front of me.

They immediately widened and my mouth fell open.

Green. It was all green. There was no grey in sight. No pavements. No dirty street. No smoke. No people. It was just... green.

I rushed out of the door and down the stairs, barely noticing Brendon seated at a table in one of the rooms as I dashed outside.

There were birds happily singing. I could hear the leaves rustling in the wind.

My eyes drifted over the heavenly scene in front of me and I felt tears in my eyes.

It was so beautiful. It was all so beautiful.

I saw two horses grazing not far from where I was standing and decided to head over to them. I had never seen horses without carriages.

They looked so peaceful, and free. They lifted their heads as I approached and  walked forwards as I stretched out my hand.

I giggled softly as I felt their soft breath tickle my skin and gently stroked their noses, taken aback by how soft they were.

There were also other creatures sharing the space with them, but I couldn't quite place them. They looked rather odd, yet similar to the conventional horses I knew. A lot fatter though.

Not far away were also smaller horse types, with thin legs and... horns?

Too occupied by taking in my surroundings, I didn't notice Brendon standing beside me and took in a sharp breath when I did.

"So, what do you think?" He asked, a smile playing on his gorgeous lips.

"It's wonderful," I answered. "What did you do to the horses to... make them look like this?"

I gestured to the odd creatures, eagerly awaiting an answer. I raised an eyebrow when Brendon erupted into laughter. He clutched his stomach and tears were starting to roll out of his eyes.

"Those aren't horses, Rossi," he laughed, finally speaking. "The fat ones are cows, the small ones goats."

"Cows..." I repeated. It rang a bell. "They make milk!" I exclaimed excitedly, remembering when my mother used to give me a glass of milk on Christmas. She had told me it was a gift from the cows.

"Would you like me to show you around?" Brendon asked, obviously amused by my lack of knowledge.

I responded with an eager nod.

"On one condition..." he continued.

"Anything."

"Before I do, please put on some shoes and proper clothes. And eat some breakfast."

I couldn't believe this. Maybe I had died. Maybe this was heaven. I had never been so happy in my entire life.

Brendon placed a dish with eggs and toast on it in front of me and glanced at me sheepishly. "I'm not much of a cook, never had to do it before."

Shrugging, I grinned at him before shoveling the food down. "I ain't  as spoilt as you is. I'm satisfied with anything."

He waited until I was finished and put a pair of unfamiliar boots in front of me. "Put them on, I hope they fit."

I obliged. "They're great," I said. Never had I worn such comfortable shoes.

"Alright then, let's go," he smiled and innocently grabbed my hand, intertwining our fingers.

All we see is sky for forever
We let the world pass by for forever
Feels like we could go on for forever this way, this way

All we see is light for forever
'Cause the sun shines bright for forever
Like we'll be alright for forever this way
Two friends on a perfect day
