Chapter 21: "Why don't you talk to Matty about it?" - Menswear, The 1975
Kiera's POV:
When it was finally our turn to go in, I already lost Kat.
She began running around the place, not deciding where to start.
I awkwardly follow Linsta around the store.
"I love the neon signs", I say, trying to start a conversation.
Linsta smiles and nods, but I can tell she wasn't really listening.
UGH!
So I decide to give her some space and look around the store.
The walls were decorated with pink neon signs that said various words and I see many people taking pictures there.
The store also had a lot of clothing and accessories.
A ton of girls began running towards me and I back out, not wanting to be apart of the crowd. They were trying to get the last of a rectangular necklace.
I sigh and realize how stupid I must look. I don't even know this band that well!
As I walk backwards, I hit something hard.
A closet door from behind opens as I step backwards.
"Ouch!", I scream.
I was smashed between a door and the wall. My head crashed against the concrete ground and I groan.
Without looking up I growl, "Watch it!".
God today is not getting any better.
First Linsta is here and she's not even talking to me. Now I'm looking like a fool on the ground.
I look up to see a guy not too young, but definitely older than me.
He has cute curly hair... but his eyes have huge bags under them. He was dressed in all black with ripped jeans and he looks at me, surprised.
"Oh... well I'm sorry", he says, in an annoying accent, with a hint of sarcasm.
Btw I do NOT hate Matty's accent it's just that Kiera is going through some tough time and she's being a little rude ;) AAAND I never met Matty so I'm just making some random ass shit for what he's going to say... for those fans please don't yell 0,0
My eyes widen as I realize it's that guy from the band.
"I-um-"
He shoots me a look as if to say, don't be nice to me just because I'm famous.
"It's alright are you ok?", he asks.
Well at least he's being nice... I nod and awkwardly walk away. I was too embarrassed to look behind my back to see some fans videotaping the whole scene.

Linsta and I were outside of the pop up shop, waiting for Kat to be done.
"Oh common! Don't stress about it.", Linsta says, trying to convince me.
I gulp. I look so stupid.
"I feel so bad. Today was just so horrible. I was in a bad mood and the timing was bad", I groan and bury my head in my hands. "I didn't even mean to be rude. And I made a fool of myself", I mutter.
Linsta pats me on the back and even though this makes me feel a little bit better, the events keep rolling in my mind.
"Oh I'm sorry love. I didn't mean to put you in the spotlight. I guess you were having a bad day like anyone else", I look up to see Matty Healy.
I sigh and bury my face again. I feel so humiliated.
Linsta hugs me and says, "Yeah... it was basically my friend Kat and my fault. We dragged her all the way here from SF and she barely got any sleep. She doesn't really know your band that well and I guess she kinda snap".
Apart of me melts when I hear her say those words. I know she loves this band and these are her first words to a celebrity.
I wonder why she isn't fainting like most girls...
I shyly look up to see that Kat is here too.
Great.
But she smiles at me and I immediately feel better.
"Well... even though you don't know my band that well, I'm glad you liked our concert", he says.
I frown, wondering how he knew I was at his concert.
He notices this and says, "Your friend told me you all went together last month". He looks at me and smiles. "Take this", he hands me a black hoodie.
I stare at him, dumbstruck.
The hoodie unfolds and I see rainbow lines as a design on the front.
"To make up what happened in the store", he repies.
