All I can remember is my mother's face. I remember walking into her arms, accepting my end.

My death.

I thought I died.

Why didn't I?

I can finally make out my surroundings.

The white walls of bureau. Everything comes into focus, and I see a pair of pained dark blue eyes staring at me.

Tobias.

"Tris." His is voice trails, and he starts looking all over me, for wounds. His eyes land on my left shoulder. "Your shoulder."

"My shoulder is none of your concern."

He gives me a pained smile. "What happened?"

"You think it would be a bad idea if I sat up?"

"I'll help you."

Four grips my other shoulder with one hand and holds my head steady with the other as I push myself up. Pain rushes through my body in sharp bursts, but I try to ignore it, stifling a groan.

He hands me the ice pack. "You can let yourself be in pain," he says. "It's just me here."

That's when I realize where I am. The white walls don't belong to bureau, it belongs to the dauntless infirmary.

I'm back behind the walls, we all so desperately tried to escape.

Then I see Caleb in the doorway. His eyes are glassy.

2 days later

"I need to get things straight, what happened?" I ask in the cafeteria. I am sitting in between to Tobias and Christina. Zeke and Uriah are in front of me.

"About what? I'm still confused on what happened after the explosion!" Uriah asks grinning. It's good to see him joking again.

Christiana explained everything from when Uriah got knocked out to when Tobias woke up from his fear landscape. He was afraid of me getting hurt. He couldn't calm down he overdid it so much that he stayed in it for over a day!

So this is what would have happened to him if Peter hadn't saved us from Jeanine.

"Tris" Tobias say in a low voice nudging me "We need to talk alone"

I nod, we haven't been able to have a private conversation since we were back at bureau.
