I've been down part of this path

My pain gets a little lighter.
I care for your laugh

I care for your spirit
Like I've never cared before.
I know in a way
You dont care for me more than a friend
But if I could just stay your friend through life
It would mean more to me in the end.

Seems to just shatter.
Because seeing you laugh
Seeing you smile
Is something I want to see everyday
No matter the trials.
