The Darkness of Life

This Pain of Mine

This pain of mine
That holds me dearly,
Has caused much pain
To everyone around me.
I know for this time
I'm only a friend,
But believe me when I say
I will run in the end.
I will break your wings
And I will break your bones,
I will even break your heart
Why do I? I don't even know.
Everything about me
Seems ok for now,
But when you know me better
You will hit the ground.
I will watch as you fall
I will cry from shame,
Because my darkness will consume you
Which will bring you pain.
I care for everyone
For my heart is pure,
But I will fail those closest
To myself for sure.
I'm just broken to the core
With nothing to fix me,
However when I'm near you
Your laugh heals me.
But I can't get close
Not to anyone or you,
For I know what's in store
Yet no one has a clue.
For I have said it once
And I will say it again,
Because everyone who knows me
Tends to normally forget..
I will break your wings
And I will break your bones,
I will even break your heart
But I dont wanna be alone..
For I fear this pain of mine,
Will keep everyone at bay,
And I fear this pain of mine
Will push you away..
