Chapter 74

"Where you at baby?" Mila's soft voice rang through my phone.

"I'm at work still Ms. Rose," I said through my head seat.

"Do you know what time you will be done?" She asked me.

"Got damn it! Why is he so damn big!" Ash yelled.

I laughed and so did Kimmy. We had to finish dressing this man and get him in the casket. He wasn't that huge just big.

"Rain," I smirked as Mila's voice blessed my speakers.

"You sound really beautiful Ms.Rose," I said and licked my lips.

"Thank you baby but you still haven't answered my question," she said.

She sounded worried. I don't know why this is important to her but I could hear it was. We had to put off the double date until we got back from the trip. Her cousin was saying she was a liar or something. It was pissing her off and I didn't care because I knew what was up.

"Fuck!" I heard Ash yell.

"What happened?" I asked her as I looked up and over at her.

I raised my eyebrow as she hopped around and shook her hand.

"I broke my fucking nail," she said.

I looked at Kim who was bent over laughing. I laughed as she glared at us. Shit happens. That's why most female funeral directors have short nails.

"Rain,"

"I'm sorry Ms. Rose. I will be there after we get this guy dressed and in a casket," I said as tied the man's tie around his neck.

"About how long?" She asked.

"What's wrong Ms. Rose?" I asked her as I placed the cufflinks in the man's shirt.

"Nothing I'm just nervous baby," she said and sighed.

"Why?" I asked as I watched Kimmy and Ash try to stuff this man's  feet in his shoes.

"Because all my other girls would show up late or not at all and I don't want my cousin thinking I made you up. Because I showed her a picture I took of you when we were at the crazy lady sister service and she saw it and thinks you're a model and I could never get with somebody like you...."

"Ms. Rose calm down. I will be there in 30 minutes,"  I said as I cut her fast rambling short.

She was nervous and it was cute.

"Okay Rain," she said and sighed.

I smirked and turned my back to Ash and Kim.
