   Chapter Thiry-One

   ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Today we were going back to the school. As in back to my uncle, my house, and everything that I had come to love in these past few weeks, and getting away from this awful camp. I'd say I was even more excited than anyone else here.

"Hey," Sarah said walking up to me. I gave her a small wave and she leaned against the bus with me. We were waiting for everyone to get what they needed.

"Um I'm sorry about yesterday. I know you're afraid of the dark, and the woods, and kidnappers, and pretty much everything that is out at night in camps. How did you manage to find her without dying from fright?" she asked with a laugh. I smiled inwardly.

"I was with someone," I told her, not telling her who so it would leave suspense. Sarah always got wound up about these things. Whenever we saw a cute guy in school, Sarah would literally squeal if she saw me looking at him.

"Since you're blushing I'm guessing it's a male, unless you're hiding something," she said and wiggled her eyebrows at me. I rolled my eyes.

"Yes it's a male, and we just met ok? Yes he's kind of hot, but I just met him," I told her not wanting her to think I was over Austin yet. I didn't want to lie to her anymore. It would just hurt me more then it hurt her.

"You can't just leave me on that, I'm going to need a name, age, and color of hair and eyes," she said and I raised my eyebrows at her but she didn't seem to notice.

    "Jonah-,"

    "The hot guy from science?"

"Now that I look back at it, yes, he is from science. Ok, age, I don't know, he never told me. He looks about 17 though."

    "Keep going."

"Hair color? Brown. Eye color? I don't know, hazel, brown?"

   "He sounds hot."

"He is pretty good-looking, but you can have him and I just met him. I don't believe in love at first sight," I said and she scoffed.

"You're just saying that because of Austin." My heart hammered inside my chest as I glanced up at her face. She didn't seem mad. She didn't seem sad. She looked... weirdly happy. She saw me giving her a weird look and sighed.

"I'm sorry, about making you choose between him and me. I just don't want to lose you Hayden. If you want to date him, go ahead and date him. I'm not going to stop you." I didn't know if I believe her at first, but she sounded sincere, and I decided to believe her.

     "Thanks."

"So, speaking of Austin. Zach doesn't want to sit with Chelby anymore because they broke up so he's sitting with Rob, and I lied and told Alex and Austin that you and I were fighting and didn't want to sit next to each other, so I said I'll sit next to Alex and Austin said he'll sit next to you. Everybody wins!"

I stared at her in shock. I don't know if I was shocked because she did all that or if I shocked because I had to sit with Austin.

"Sarah, remember seeing us in the woods? I kissed him. As in it was all me. He doesn't like me, ok? He's been avoiding me, probably. I don't really win," I told her but she just rolled her eyes.

"You didn't see it because you were on top of him at the time but I saw it, sweetie, and he looked like he was about to kiss you way before you kissed him so don't 'oh he obviously doesn't like me!' Just talk to him!"
