*Flashback, Luna's POV*

I could feel the cold, small drops of rain hit the top of my head as my feet stumbled over the dirty and cracked sidewalk. I looked up at the sky which seemed to have turned black in a matter of seconds. My pace didn't quicken even though it had begun to rain. I didn't mind the rain, actually, it was one of my favorite things in the world.

I finally reached my house and grabbed the key from the top of the door frame and unlocked the front door. I heard voices from somewhere in the house which was weird because I knew my parents were working and had been gone all morning. I followed the voices down to my basement and found two boys laying on my couch and two boys playing ping pong.

"Luna, finally! It took you long enough. Where have you been all morning?" Ashton shouted as he continued playing his 'intense' game of ping pong with Luke. Ashton sucked at ping pong and everyone seemed to know it except for him. He giggled loudly as he hit the ball and it hit the wall, just barely missing Luke's head.

"I was out shopping. You know the summer after our high school journey just started I need some new clothes." I explained and looked around at them all being casual like this was their own house. They were always so comfortable wherever they went. "How did you little creepos even get in here?

"We know where you put the spare key, Lune." Michael answered dully as if knowing where the key to my house was wasn't a big deal. My forehead scrunched up in confusion and I turned to find him laying on the couch playing some game on my xbox.

"You guys are so creepy I can't even handle it. What are you even doing here? I never said you could come over." I said as a matter-of-fact and placed my hand on my hip, trying to be as sassy as possible.

"It's the fourth Saturday of the month." Calum answered me as he watched Michael play the xbox game while multitasking and doing something on his phone. I mentally face palmed myself for not remembering. They had arranged for band practices every Saturday. The first and third Saturdays were at their house and the second and fourth were at mine. I didn't understand why it had to be at my house since I wasn't even in the band but apparently this is the only way they could get Mrs. Hemmings to agree to a band at all. "Although, I don't know why we're suprised that you forgot. You're not the most organized person ever."

"Hey, I'm trying my hardest!" I yelled back at Cal, trying to defend myself and my memory. I saw Luke put down his ping pong paddle out of the corner of my eye and suddenly I was being engulfed in a hug. I felt my feet come off the ground as Luke picked me up in his arms.

"She's working on it guys, don't get mad at Moona!" He finally put me back down on the ground after squeezing me way too tight for enjoyment and/or breathing. I looked at the three other boys and pouted, crossing my arms over my chest.

"Yeah guys, I'm working on it. You know you could have been practicing while I was gone, right?" Michael paused his game and sat up from the couch. He gave me a devious smile and wiggled his eyebrows.

"Yeah, but we didn't want to start without our Luna!"

"I can feel a group hug coming on!" Ashton shouted and ran over towards where I was standing and wrapped his arms around me. Suddenly, I was struggling to see anything around me since the boys were all so tall as they embraced me in a hug.

"Guys...can't....breathe." They all laughed before letting go and I exhaled a giant breath.

They finally decided to begin practicing and they began getting out their instruments. Luke sang and played the guitar, Calum played bass and sang, Michael played guitar and sang, and Ashton played the drums and sang. When I had first met them they told me that they were trying to start a band and I thought they were insane; I didn't even think any of them could play an instrument. But then I heard them play and I was blown away. I couldn't believe my ears; were those the same boys that cussed about video games and asked for food every five seconds?
