*Luna's POV*

"Mrs. Hunter, you haven't seen the dress yet have you?" Savanna polietly asked Stephen's mom as we all got out of my car in the parking lot. We were at the bridal store getting my wedding dress fitted. Savanna, my mother, and I had all gone shopping right when I got engaged and I found the perfect dress almost immediately.

"No, dear, I haven't. I was at Mr. Hunter's business conference that weekend." Savanna nodded her head and began to tell Mrs. Hunter how beautiful I had looked in it. She told her that the shoes we went to pick up this morning would look perfect with them.

I couldn't keep my eyes off of all the wedding dresses in the windows of the store and I jumped slightly when my mother placed her hand against my shoulder.

"Oh, Miss Webbs! You're here early, just give us a second and we'll be right with you." I nodded my head at the lady sitting at the front desk and we all took a seat in the waiting area.

"Oh, honey. I'm so excited to see you in the dress again. It's a perfect dress, although I wish you would have worn my old one." My mother announced as she paged through the dress catalogs sitting on the table in front of us. Of course my mother had wanted me to wear her's like most mothers seem to do, but it wasn't really my style and she completely understood that. She was understanding about everything: one of my favorite qualities about her.

"I love weddings so much." Savanna sighed dreamily and allowed her head to sit in the palm of her hand, gazing off into the distance. She had always been a hopeless romantic and all about everything love. Even though she was like this, she had never had a serious boyfriend before. She was very picky about who she chose to get close with and who she allowed to get to know the real her. She was a cheerleader and the popular one in the school; even though she was 'friends' with a lot of people, no one really got to see who she really was. "I'm so happy that I get to be your maid of honor. I hope I don't totally butcher these bridesmaids' dresses though."

"You won't. I've seen your work before, you're tremendous." Mrs. Hunter assured Savanna and both my mother and I nodded in agreement.

"Alright, so I have down that we are getting your dress altered and fitted, making sure everything is okay. Is that correct?" I nodded and looked around the bridal shop to see a couple other women sifting through the lines of dresses, smiling wide-eyed and brightly. They looked as though this was the happiest moment of their life and that nothing would ever top this moment. I wanted to feel that happy but all I felt was something sick in my stomach and a headache coming on.

The lady asked us to follow her into a private room in order to try on my dress. We waited for a little while longer for the seamstress and while we did my mother, Mrs. Hunter, and Savanna all small talked about the wedding. I sat there silently watching the small black clock on the wall tick as time went past.

The lady finally arrived with a clam and not rushed attitude about her. I didn't like it; I wanted to get out of here not spend all day in a room talking about my wedding. She handed me the garment bag which held my dress and I stepped behind a curtain to change. I quickly removed my jeans and shirt before struggling to put the big gown onto my body. I zipped up the dress as far as my arms could reach behind my back before stepping out from behind the curtain. Gasps echoed throughout the room and I turned around quickly to show everyone the back of the dress.

If I'm being honest, the dress was the one thing in this wedding process that I was completely sure about. I smiled at everyone and for the first time today I was actually happy as I looked into the mirror. My dress was ball gown style with a heart shaped neck line with a jewel styled belt. I finally felt like the princess I always wanted to be when I was little.

"Luna, you look absolutely stunning. I'm glad you didn't choose to wear my old dress. That was nothing compared to this beauty." My mother beamed with a giant smile plastered on her face.

"I can't wait to see Stephen's face when you walk down the aisle. He will be at a loss for words." Mrs. Hunter announced and covered her mouth like she couldn't believe her eyes. I couldn't either; that girl in the mirror was not me.

The seamstress walked behind me and placed a veil on my head and handed me a bouquet of flowers. I suddenly looked like a real bride and I could feel the blood running faster through my veins and my heart beating harder in my chest. I felt light-headed and the room felt hot and sticky. All the color drained from my face and I could feel my hands getting clammy. I couldn't bear to look at appearance any longer so I turned away from the mirror.

"Lune, you don't look to well. Are you feeling alright?" I tried to nod but I couldn't even do that. The room seemed to be spinning around me and I couldn't stop myself as I watched the ground get closer and closer to my face. My view became dark for a few seconds and when I could finally see clearly again I saw that I was lying on the floor with three women surrounding me.

"I'm okay, I'm okay. I promise." I persisted as they began to help me up into a chair.

"You don't seem fine. What just happened?"

"I uh," I struggled to find an explanation better than 'I just saw myself looking like a bride and I freaked out because I don't know what I want or if I even want to get married'. "I didn't eat breakfast and I suddenly felt really light-headed. I'm fine now, we should just get brunch after this." They seemed unsure about whether I was really okay but after I sat there for a few minutes (by their request), the seamstress continued fitting my dress. What seemed like an eternity later, we were finished and walking out the door.

"I'm so excited for this wedding. You looked absolutely stunning, sweetie."

"Thanks, mom." I responsed quickly before moving ahead of them on the sidewalk and watching my feet as we continued walking to the restaurant. This is what my life felt like. Walking down the sidewalk just watching the pavement as it escaped behind me but not really knowing what was going on ahead of me. One day I'm pretty sure I'm just going to trip and fall flat on my face.
