*Luna's POV*
"Do you like this color?" I looked over at the fabric in Savanna's hands and shook my head. It was a bright pink, too bright for my liking. Savanna, who was also my maid of honor, agreed to make the bridesmaid's dresses. I had yet to pick out a color scheme for the wedding so we decided to look for a color in the fabrics she had. I gave her a grossed out face and she held up her hands in defeat. "You can't decide on anything. You know the wedding's in like four months right? I have to make three dresses in less than four months and have them look perfect. You're not helping anything, missy."
"I know, I know. But you should know by now that nothing is ever an easy task for me."
"You don't have to tell me twice. Trust me, I know better than anyone else." But there was someone else who knew better than she did. I immediately thought of him and his nirvana shirt as I touched the black material on the shelf. "Guess what band is playing my wedding?"
"Um, don't tell me. One Direction? Imagine Dragons? Maroon 5? Oh, no wait! The Backstreet Boys?" I laughed at her unrealistic guesses and shook my head.
"Unfortunately, no. 5 Seconds of Summer." A puzzled look appeared on her face and her eyebrows furrowed together like they always did when she was concentrating on something.
"Am I supposed to know who that is?"
"Think really hard, S."
"Wasn't that the name of Luke's band?" I gave her a look and nodded my head slowly. Her confused look had yet to go away. "Why does the band have the same name as his band?"
"No, Savanna. Luke's band is playing." Her mouth opened wide in shock and her eyes grew wide.
"Holy shit! Why? Does Stephen know that you guys were best friends?" She began to pick up different colors but I had been denying them all like usual.
"Uh, he knows that we knew each other from a while ago and that's about it."
"Does he know about 'you know what'?" She asked but I just sighed loudly and stared at all the materials.
"No, only like five people know about that and I don't plan on that being the story I tell at my wedding. Besides, it wasn't even a big deal." I began picking up random colors so I wouldn't have to look her in the eye. She always knew when I was lying and this was one of those times.
"Yeah, okay. You just keep telling yourself that, Lune." I pulled the plain black material off the shelf and handed it to her.
"I want this one." She took it out of my hands and gave me a confused look.
"Just plain black? You want that to be your wedding color scheme?" I nodded my head, this was something I was completely sure about.
"Yep, it's classy, elegant, and simple. Just like I want my wedding to be. Plus, you have to admit it's totally me."
"It just reminds me of a funeral, I guess." She shrugged her shoulders but agreed that it was a good choice for me.
In a way she was right because this wedding was beginning to feel like my funeral.

*Flashback; Luna's POV*
"Your jokes are lame, Lucas." I tilted my head to look up into his dark blue eyes as we walked out of the school's main entrance. He was about eight inches taller than I was and even though we were only sixteen, I'm pretty sure he was done growing. I always liked the fact that he was a lot taller than I was. I felt like he could protect me from anything and anyone, which I knew he would.
"Oh really Miss Moona? Then why are you laughing?" He was right, I was laughing and I hadn't even noticed. I tried my hardest not to laugh anymore but it just made me laugh harder and I ended up even snorting a little bit. It's my tragic flaw.
"I'm only laughing because your jokes are so lame that they're funny. Don't let it get to your head." He rolled his eyes and shoved me a little as we reached the bottom of the staircase. There were a ton of people around us, all rushing to get out of school and home as quickly as possible. But, Luke and I, we didn't care to rush home. We were perfectly fine casually walking together, sometimes we even tried to go as slow as possible.
"Okay, sure whatever you say." I smiled up at him brightly and he tapped my nose like he always did. I scrunched up my nose, causing my eyes to squint shut. He laughed at me and I laughed along only because that's how much I loved his laugh. He had one of those laughs that seemed as though they could end world hunger or cure cancer. It was just that great. "Do you have to do anything important tonight? I want to show you something."
"Hm, well I'll have to check my calendar. I'm a really busy person; I have a lot of stuff to do, you know." I said in a matter-of-fact type of way. He shook his head and rolled his eyes, putting his arm around me.
"The only stuff you ever do is hang out with me, so I know you'll come with me." I smiled up at him and shrugged my shoulders. He led me down the sidewalk and we stopped as we stood in front of his house.
"Luke, I've been to your house before, it's nothing new."
"Luna Webbs, you are the most annoying person I have ever met. This is not what I wanted to show you." I laughed quietly next to him as he lead me to his back yard and we began walking towards the giant tree by his fence. I saw a ladder attached to the trunk and I looked up to find a small, wooden tree house.
"Did you make this?" I shouted, excitedly. I quickly looked over at him and he smiled widely.
"Yes, this is what I wanted to show you. Is this new enough for you?" I laughed once again and he gestured for me to climb up the tree. Once inside, you could see that it wasn't anything spectacular but it was enough. A sixteen year old made a tree house by himself so I don't know how it could look any better than this. We laid up there for hours just talking about nothing. I noticed it had become dark outside but I didn't mind. My parents always knew that I was with Luke and they were never too concerned about it.
"What do you want in your future?" I almost whispered to Luke who's eyes were closed next to me and I turned my head to face him. His eyes opened up and he turned to look at me as well. After a minute or two of thinking, he finally answered me.
"I want our band to actually be a real band. Maybe travel the country, I don't know. I try not to think about the future, it's a scary thing. What do you want?" I bit my lip, pausing to think about what I actually wanted. What did I really want? Not what everyone wanted for me, but what I wanted for myself.
"I'm not really sure, to be honest. I just want to be happy, and I want to be completely certain and sure of whatever I'm doing." He chuckled, knowing how hard that would be for me to do. "Do you think we'll stay friends, Luke?"
"Of course we will, Lune." I smiled as I looked up at the ceiling. "We'll always be friends no matter what; I'll never leave you as long as you never leave me."
