CH10.5: Strange power

Years ago.

Eva Edelstein was born with ominous powers.
Her whole line of ancestors were born with it, it ran without they family they say, if they central had got hold of her, who knew what they'd do to the whole lot of them.

The central had carried out an experiment with one of them. They captured them and tried to decipher the root of what made them possess these powers.

The power to control Titans.

They tried everything, weird experiments, research, even dissection. But to no avail, they did not find any answers, only more questions.
Soon after word spread, the government closed down the whole ordeal as the line went into hiding and they could not find anymore subjects.

Eva's mother had never mentioned anything about this, Eva had no idea what was going on inside her mind. The power she had, she was blind to it and did not even realise it until she was of age.
She fell in love with a mundane young man and together had two beautiful children together, unknown to the fact that they both had inherited her power.
After a year, Eva had joined the military by the order of the higher ups in order for more volunteers in the army.

Disaster had befallen her after they found out she had the power.
The experiment was reignited again, she was taken to a facility and kept there for the next few months before she died in the dissecting phase.
Again, the conduct was taken down again after futile attempts.

The man which had she married which goes by the name Edward Edelstein had become concerned over the disappearance of his wife.
He went directly to the military and asked for her information and why she was missing. After the central had gotten hold of his request, they assumed he too, had the power.

And so they did the same to him but still got the same result.

He had left two children behind.
Two girls and one younger one. After finding them out in public files, the government sent reinforcements to go capture them, despite their past attempts being futile. Still they grasped the chance they had and went after them.
The door to their house was knocked down as they stormed in to the find the children by the window, ready to escape.

They ran, that's all they did, unfortunately into the forest.
How they had escaped the walls was unknown, however they had slipped out of the town and into the vast wilderness, where Titans were many.

The government still searched, regardless how many men they had sacrificed, maybe they had been in luck because they had successfully seized the younger of the two after a long chase.
They did not try to capture the other as they thought the harsh environments of the forest would surely take advantage of a little girl.

So that was that, they took back the younger one and started to conduct experiments again. This time, they had a spark, one of their experiments had half-succeeded, they had found out the structure of the brain and skull that differed from others.
It had to be a hint of how these powers came to be.

However, they always needed a live subject, but due to the olden days and the lack of sterile environments and tools, no one lived past the dissection phase.
And so they had to shut down the whole titan communication experience again, and in the present hardly anyone knew of it anymore.

Surprisingly however, the girl that they never took was still alive and out there, she had survived and was prepared to come back for the truth.
