CH28: Trost 2

~Marisa~

Kodia sat on the floor while I rubbed my forehead too.

"Sorry!" I said, "Too abrupt?"

She nodded slowly and stretched her arms.
I felt a bandaged to my head. Gauze.

It was sore but it was manageable. The last thing I remembered was that I saw above us a huge debris and pushed someone out of the way, then I blacked out.

"By the way, Jean apologised, it was his fault or something?" Kodia said in a hard time, cracking her knuckles. "If anyone hurts you I'll hurt them back!"

I quickly waved my hands dismissively. "No! Uh Kodia, don't do that, it wasn't his fault, he also saved me as well!"
Kodia gave me an eye, "Hmm, really?"

I nodded quickly incase she wasn't fully convinced and decided to knock Jean out cold. She was lean but strongly built, I had an arm wrestle with her once and I broke my arm(not literally).

"Well we better get to it then!" I said and hopped out of bed to put my gear on. Kodia kept staring at my face.

"Marisa," she said. "Why are you crying?"

I touched my face to feel a wet substance, I wiped it off and smiled weakly.

"Ah, nothing. Um looks like I dreamed of onions......I guess," I joked. What a bad joke.

Kodia looked at me again. I walked to her and slapped her in the head. She backed away and rubbed the bruise I made.

"I'm gonna get right back to duty, come on," I said and as I put on my gear.

"Are you sure you are okay?" Kodia asked eyeing me with concern. "Your head wound was a bit big,"

I looked at the ground and but my lip, "I'm fine," I explained.

"I just dreamt of.......my sister,"

Kodia stared at the ground as well, not knowing what to say.

We headed outside where we were going to be assigned duties, backup, front lines, etc.
My ankle didn't hurt anymore, which was strange cause last time I stood on it I nearly died.

"Eren, Armin, Marisa, Kodia, take guard on the front lines for back up!"

I turned around to see a soldier with sweat pouring off his face.

"Mikasa please help evacuate the citizens!"

Mikasa expression went from blank to shocked.

"But I have to protect Eren...." She said quietly.

Eren stood in front of Mikasa, "Just go, I don't need to be protected," he said.

"I promised! I'll look over you to make sure that you don't die-" Mikasa's words were interrupted by Erens punch.

"Look, your duty is with the others, don't worry about me and go!" Eren ordered eyeing her.

Mikasa looked defeated and hunched her head to the ground.

Eren turned to leave when Mikasa held onto Erens sleeve. Eren slapped her hand away.

"Don't worry, I won't die," he said and turned to leave.

Squad 34, front lines for back up, ensuring no titans head towards the citizens.

I stood on top of the roof and gazed out into the ruins of Wall rose. I didn't think the Colossal Titan would come back, no one ever thought of it, except for Eren. And now the titans have yet flooded another wall, crazy stuff is going down.

"Marisa, be careful out there, Titans are scary," Kodia said as she stood next to me.
I nodded, "Yeh, I will,"

I spotted a Titan in the distance and prepared to target it when another Titan bounced onto a tower like it caught something.

At first I thought it was jumping to target us but when it's head moved out of the shadows, we were all shocked to a point where our bodies were trembling. Thomas, in between the titans teeth.

Thomas was upside down with a shocked face, before the Titan gulped him down.

Eren was furious.

"Everyone! Counter attack!" He shouted and ran off the roof.

"Yes sir!" Kodia replied and jumped off with him.
"Eren! Kodia!" I shouted back.
But before I knew it titans were grabbing our comrades, toying with them and devouring them.

Every one tried to escape but no luck, as the titans grabbed onto the people's hooks, making the smash into walls, out cold.

I stared in horror as Mina was held in between the titans hands.

I couldn't move. At all.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Armin in danger, I gripped my blades so had my knuckles turned white. What am doing! I've got to save him.

"Armin!!" I yelled and ran at the Titan.

Suddenly Eren swung in front of me instead and went into the titans mouth to grab Armin, who was sliding off and into the titans stomach.
Suddenly I saw a titan try and grab my leg. I jumped back and was distanced from the others.

Crap.
How we will succeed? We are all getting split up and killed.

I ran across the roofs and saw Jean standing there, a complicated expression on his face.

"Jean-" I yelled before a gigantic face appeared in front of me.

I was too slow to react, the Titan grabbed me by the waist and put me in its mouth. I struggled to get a grip but its slippery and severely humid inside.

My gear was heavy and I was gradually sliding into the titans stomach.

The last thing I saw was Eren in another titans mouth while Armin was helplessly grabbing for him.
